Bad People

Maya slumped fell on the couch, Nathaniel quickly walked over and pulled her in his arms in an attempt to comfort her.

He didn't realize that she was holding all of this in.

She cried for a few minutes before Nathaniel dared to speak again.

"Talk to me," Nathaniel said as he gently stroked her back. "I'm here for you, Maya, tell me what you're thinking."

Maya sobbed as she tried to calm herself down enough to speak.

"I know you didn't like him, but he was my friend, he was good to me and he was good to Gabriel," Maya cried out. "I don't even know how to tell Gabriel that his Uncles are now bad guys and in prison."

Nathaniel held her, he let her cry.

He didn't say a word, he knew she was suffering and that what she need was someone to be there for her. She didn't need someone telling her what she did wrong or right, she just needed someone to listen.
