"Let's move," Layla said as she looked around. 

Maya and Celia didn't question her, they just stood up and followed with Layla looking around, making sure that their surroundings were clear.

"That guy that just arrived in the shop," Layla said as she offered them an explanation. "He's been madly in love with Cassandra for over a year and she just uses him. I'm sure that anything we said would have been reported back to Cassandra."

Maya nodded, trusting Layla's judgment.

"I'm guessing that Cassandra is targeting you because she is jealous," Layla said with a shrug.

Maya pointed at herself and raised an eyebrow, "Why? I'm currently a nobody."

"Are you serious?" Layla asked.

Maya simply shrugged in response. She was not delusional, she wasn't model material like some of her cousins, nor was she a hidden genius like her boyfriend, Nate De La Rue.

She knew she was far from special.
