Revan and Anakin found themselves alone within the confines of the flying Gunship, their hands gripping the handles above them as they navigated through the turbulent skies.
Anakin seemed apprehensive, his brow furrowing as he weighed his next words carefully, "Is it true that you can actually see the future?"
Revan's response was calm, "Indeed, sight into the future is not restricted from me."
Anakin was about to ask another question but Revan promptly retrieved a small circular device from his utility belt, activating it with precise taps. A holographic projection of Master Yoda materialized above the device, emanating from what appeared to be a Venator command center.
"Revan, arrived I have. Hmm... Padawan Skywalker?" Yoda's voice resonated as he noticed Anakin standing beside Revan.
"Greetings, Master Yoda." Anakin respectfully acknowledged, his voice steady despite the occasional shudder of the Gunship from turbulence.
"Apologies, Master Yoda, time is of the essence. With your arrival, we can execute our plan. Can you equally reinforce each of the battlefronts?" Revan inquired as he sensed the Gunship descending.
"Hmm... Confident, you are." Yoda observed.
"Because failure is not an option." Revan calmly asserted.
"Indeed, room for failure, there is not... Reinforcements I shall send." Yoda agreed with a nod.
With a nod of acknowledgment, Revan prepared to terminate the transmission.
"May the Force be with you, Young Revan." Yoda concluded before the transmission turned off.
The Gunship's doors then slid open, exposing them to the chaotic enemy fire, Revan and Anakin stepped out onto the rocky ground, their gaze fixed on the advancing horde of droids in the far distance.
Clones could be seen as some were in a prone position with rifles, while others were in AT-TEs firing cannons at the approaching enemy.
Casually tilting their heads dodging blaster fire, they made their way through the ranks of clone troopers and vehicles, eventually reaching a specific AT-TE where a green-skinned Jedi wielded his lightsaber with remarkable speed and precision, fending off dozens of red streaks, effortlessly defending the clones beside him.
Revan took note of a certain human female shooting a blaster, his eyes remaining indifferent, 'So she decided to come after all, huh... Not much of a surprise.'
"Padmé!? What do you think you're doing!?" Anakin's voice echoed with concern as he spotted Padmé peering out from the top of the AT-TE, shooting back at the enemy.
However, Revan swiftly intervened, grasping Anakin's shoulder from behind, firmly restraining him, "Control yourself." He advised calmly.
Anakin's gaze narrowed toward his fellow Jedi as he attempted to shake off Revan's grip, his eyes reflecting a mix of frustration and urgency.
"Let go!"
"Skywalker... Control yourself." Revan repeated, his tone eerily tranquil as he tightened his hold, not allowing any leeway for him to move.
Anakin's expression shifted slightly, registering the gravity of the situation. Though he seemed determined to argue, nevertheless, Revan silenced him with a subtle shake of his head.
"We can address this later. I understand your feelings, but remain focused, stop being an emotional fool." Revan murmured as he released Anakin's shoulder, gesturing for him to follow.
Drawing his lightsaber, Revan ignited them with practiced precision, nonchalantly deflecting blaster bolts as he approached Kit Fisto and Padmé's location.
Anakin mirrored Revan's actions, deciding to skillfully wield his lightsaber to defend Padmé atop the AT-TE.
"Master Fisto, it seems you have everything under control." Revan's voice cut through the chaos of battle as he joined Kit Fisto in deflecting blaster fire.
Kit Fisto glanced momentarily at Revan's unique golden lightsaber, but his focus remained steadfast on the opposing fray.
"Indeed! But it seems I couldn't save everyone." Kit Fisto acknowledged solemnly, his green lightsaber dancing through the air in a protective arc.
"It's to be expected, where there is life, death follows." Revan remarked quietly, deactivating his lightsabers as he knelt beside a wounded clone trooper, observing the trooper's precarious state.
Noticing Revan's defenseless state, Kit Fisto swiftly positioned himself in front of him, deflecting incoming blaster bolts to shield him from harm.
"General?" The clone's voice quivered as Revan removed the trooper's helmet, revealing the face beneath. He then clasped the soldier's hand firmly, his gaze steady.
"I'm here." Revan reassured, his voice a calm anchor amidst the mayhem of battle.
"I-I tried my best, sir." The clone coughed out, his breaths labored.
"I know you did." Revan simply replied with unwavering certainty.
"I'm ashamed to say this, but even though I'm a clone, I'm still scared of dying, sir." The clone confessed, a tear escaping his eye as it traced a path down his cheek.
"What's your number, soldier?" Revan knowingly inquired.
"C-CT-2035." The clone uttered, his strength fading, the light slowly leaving his eyes.
"Remember this. One only truly dies if forgotten, and you have my word that I will not forget you. I will take you to the end of this war myself. I will take all of you to the end myself, so do not fear! And fight with all of your heart!" Revan's declaration rang out, commanding attention from those around him.
The other clones nearby paused their fire, casting curious glances toward their General. Even Kit Fisto, Anakin, and Padmé atop the AT-TE couldn't help but look down at the scene unfolding below.
"Thank y-you." The clone's voice faltered, his grip slackening, before the light in his eyes vanished.
Revan gently laid the soldier's hands on his chest, paying silent tribute before rising to address Anakin and Padmé.
"Senator Amidala, your assistance is needed back on the Acclamator. Please inform Master Yoda of our plan." Revan instructed calmly, his tone decisive.
Padme's brows furrowed in surprise; she had braced herself for a punishment, yet Revan's composed reaction hinted at him expecting her actions. And if she was right, that meant even though he didn't say it outwardly, he didn't mind her participation.
With a slight shake of her head, Padme refocused on the present moment, meeting his gaze, "I understand." She affirmed, her voice carrying a mix of determination and gratitude.
Leaping down from the AT-TE with Anakin's aid, she was shielded by his protective defense from his lightsaber form. Together, they made their way toward safety, accompanied by a contingent of clones tasked with ensuring Padmé's security.
"Good luck, Master Revan." Padmé nodded toward Revan, and looked at Anakin one last time before hastening back to the Acclamator, disappearing into the large ship.
"Master Revan, I wanted to apologize-" Anakin began, but his words trailed off as he realized Revan was no longer beside him.
Casting a searching glance around, Anakin spotted Revan at the forefront of the trooper blockade, engaged in conversation with an orange-striped clone trooper.
Meanwhile, Revan received the report from the clone Captain, confirming the successful planting of the bombs and their readiness for detonation. He acknowledged the captain's efforts with a nod of approval.
"Commendable job, soldier." Revan praised, his tone firm yet appreciative.
"I was just doing my job, sir." The Captain replied dutifully.
"Well, you can rest now, Captain Sparks." Revan reassured with a hand on their shoulder.
"Sparks?" The clone muttered in confusion.
Revan chuckled lightly, "Is the name too shabby? I thought since you deal with bombs, Sparks would fit you."
The clone's expression shifted to one of gratitude, "No, sir! I was just a bit confused. I appreciate the name!"
Revan smiled quietly to himself before releasing the clone's shoulder and turning away, making his way back to the front of the troopers' blockade.
Once he reached the front, he hid behind an AT-TE's leg as red beams would narrowly pass him.
Clone troopers who were on the ground beside him would glance toward him temporarily, before returning fire back toward the nearing droids.
Tapping his comlink on his wrist he spoke into it.
"This is Master Reven. Are all battlefronts ready to detonate bombs?"
One by one, responses came in.
"Southern battlefront is ready." Plo-Koon's voice answered.
"Eastern battlefront is also ready." Obi-Wan responded as the swinging of lightsabers could be heard.
"As is the Western battlefront." Mace Windu's voice also calmly reported.
"Are all flanking battalions ready?" Revan questioned once more.
One by one, each battalion replied by saying there ready, so Revan stopped waiting as he spoke the last words.
"Then let's begin." He declared, pressing the red button on a small pen-like device in his hand.
Soon after...
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Large resounding explosions went off at all battlefronts, and the ground below the droids suddenly cracked opened as crimson fire exploded out of it.
This was happening at all battle locations as clones would take cover behind AT-TE's.
A large brown dust cloud was created in the aftermath of the explosion as it obscured everyone's vision of the opposing sandy field.
But after a few dozen seconds, the cloud of smoke eventually disappeared as a trench of immense size could be seen separating the clones from the droids in the distance.
The droids seemed to be confused until suddenly they started getting fired upon from their left and right. On one side enemies seemed to be firing from the top of a canyon, while on the other side, they simply flanked around from the ground, using the rocky environment as cover.
The droids quickly responded back with their own blasters, forgetting about their opponents across the trench.
White clouds of smoke abruptly started to appear in front of the trench, which seemed to be produced by the flanking battalions who were in battle currently.
Revan calmly strode toward the trench, his lightsaber hilt at the ready as Anakin approached from behind.
"Revan?" Anakin queried, his confusion evident.
Revan flashed a confident smile under his helmet, "Aren't you coming, Skywalker?"
Anakin's eyes widened as he realized Revan's intent. They were supposed to wait for the ladders to appear, but Revan had other plans.
Without hesitation, Revan ignited his lightsaber and swiftly started jogging, until suddenly it turned into a full-blown sprint.
Anakin watched in awe as Revan's figure blurred with speed, closing the distance to the trench in a heartbeat.
And as if time stopped, every single clone and Jedi on the Northern battlefront froze as they had their eyes on Revan's speeding figure.
His golden saber by his side as he reached the start of the trench.
Slightly creasing one of his knees without stopping, he focused the mysterious energy of the force into his right leg, pushing the limit, as he pressed off the ball's of his foot, launching himself into the air.
Everyone gaped at Revan, as they watched the black-armored Jedi slowly cross the trench mid-air, ascending at immense altitudes.
Only the more skilled Jedi could fathom how much power it took to jump at such heights, as Anakin was one of them. He was about to run after him, but promptly discarded the idea, realizing that not even he could do it.
It seemed as if the gravity on Revan had decreased, his figure practically flying as people watched him.
Anakin himself was stunned, 'What the...'
Revan's figure eventually reached the other side of the smoked-out trench.
Thud!
Skillfully rolling on the ground with a soft thud, he rolled to his feet, and continued to sprint without missing a beat, as he could hear the shooting of blasters in the distance, seeming to be the two clone battalions and droids.
While running, he glanced back toward the blockade of troopers, he saw multiple Acclamators land beside his own.
'It seems Yoda finally got through the small blockade of Separatist ships.'
Revan inwardly shook his head as he focused back on his situation.
"Well, what are you waiting for!?" He declared loudly over the trench, directed toward the surprised troopers and Jedi, his racing back being gazed at in astonishment.
Quickly after his words, everyone broke out of their stupor, dropping multiple long metal ramp-like structures that crossed the entire trench.
"For the Republic!"
"For the Republic!"
"For the Republic!"
Chants could be heard as the blockade of clones hurriedly crossed the metal ramps with certain Jedi amongst them.
Anakin himself could only helplessly smile as he also hurriedly followed the spirited clones across the ramps, with a sarcastic remark of his own.
"And I thought I was crazy..."
