Chapter 30.2 : Battle

The moment the monster lost it's footing and fell tumbling to the ground, Diana instantly took action alongside Tempo Symphony.

In what seemed like an instant, Diana and Tempo Symphony began inflicting great injuries onto the monster, from smashing all of its limbs, to completely opening up its chest, Diana had no mercy.

But just as Diana was about to deal one last final blow, and completely crush the head of the monster into little pieces, she froze...

In an instant, Diana's face became pale, causing her to turn her eyes to her own body, as well as what had happened to it.

In what seemed like just a brief moment, the entire left part of Diana's chest, including her heart, completely disappeared, having been evaporated from existence.

Immediately, Diana's mind got to work, and began searching for anything abnormal, as well as anyone who could have done something like this to her.

After just a tiny fraction of a second, though, this search was immediately derailed, as Diana discovered some things that seemed a bit... off.

The first thing that had something wrong with it was Diana herself.

Although from just feeling, Diana felt as though she was as strong as ever, the results did not match that in the slightest, as her attacks without the help of Tempo Symphony did not do nearly as much to the monster as she expected.

If only this was the case, Diana wouldn't have felt anything was wrong, as after all, this was a sort of being she had only encountered once, and did not know the abilities of very well.

Perhaps this monster had some sort of powerful defensive ability, who knows?

But although the monster was not a very good source of information, Diana's surroundings were.

If Diana were to be truly using her true strength, as she thought she did, the damage that she would have caused to the surroundings would not be limited to merely a few holes and craters a few dozen meters in size.

Furthermore, who was the being that had stopped Diana's car in the first place? After all, the monster in front of Diana did not show any sort of advanced intelligence, and couldn't have been the one to create the trap.

But if the first two thoughts of Diana still left some certainty behind, her last discovery didn't/

Where had the Joestars gone?

There was no chance that the Joestars were killed by the large monster itself.

After first seeing the Joestars that had been seemingly bound to her, Diana had tried every single method possible, including using the full power of her stand to power herself up and try to kill them.

But even though Diana did this, in the end, nothing worked, and the Joestars were able to regenerate as normal.

As such, Diana sincerely doubted that this mere monster could have done any sort of danger to the Joestars.

At this very moment, just as this thought went through Diana's mind, her head, as well as a large portion of upper body, suddenly disappeared.

Only a fraction of a moment later, though, Diana had then nearly instantly regenerated her central nervous system as well as the things that governed her senses, including her eyes.

As she used her still regenerating eyes to look at the world around her, which was collapsing in on itself, Diana couldn't help but faintly smile, as the lower part of her mouth finally returned to normal.

...

As she looked at the very familiar roof of the car, as well as at the strange creature which had a ball of light gathering in its hands, Diana couldn't help but suddenly smile.

Whilst Diana was able to casually smile, a person inside the car was not able to be as casual, as he struggled trying to fight the monster with his completely intangible body.

Sadly though, no matter what Jonathan did, he could never even touch the monster with his hands, not even talking about actually stopping it from attacking Diana again.

Merely a moment later, the ball of light suddenly descended onto Diana, completely eviscerating her right hand, as well as the majority of her chest.

But even so, under the horrified Diana suddenly stretched out her hand, which was just pure bone that had grown a fraction of a moment ago, and grabbed it by his face.

...

Although Diana found herself back onto her previous battlefield, and staring at the enormous monster in front of her, she couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle.

"Your illusions are really quite impressive, it's a pity that your raw power is truly incapable of matching them," mumbled Diana with a smile on her face.

Although Diana seemed to be currently holding her hand out in the air, she could still feel it, the skull of the monster that had captured her with its illusions.

A moment later, Diana's head suddenly disappeared, as the world around Diana began collapsing, but this was not nearly enough.

Although the panicked monster had completely eviscerated Diana's brain, the latter's hand still hung onto the face of the monster, as if mocking it.

"Too weak..." mumbled Diana before suddenly crushing the head of the monster, immediately grounding it into dust in her palms, while the test of the monster's dead body reeled from the aftershock, seemingly damaged as well.

Merely a few moments after that happened, Diana's body quickly healed up, under the eyes of the Joestars.

As she looked at Jonathan Joestar, who seemed to have tried to help her for some darn reason, as well as at the driver, who, for some reason, was not able to hear the disturbance in the back seat.

Like the rest of the Joestars, other than for some basic things at the beginning, Jonathan seemed to not want to talk to Diana in the slightest.

But unlike the rest of the Joestars, Jonathan actually tried his best to help Diana in whatever way he could after seeing her in danger.

"He's exactly as father described..."
