Chapter 66 Kill me 7

  "You'll eat this food Hazel, now be a good wife and open up!" He brought the chickens soup close to my mouth. I took a spoon full and spat it on his face. "I've told you already I'm not eating!" I said sternly.

Alex closed his eyes clenching his teeth tighly, I was expecting a reaction and I prayed he should kill me right now. He dropped the bowl of soup calmly and pulled his shirt using it to wipe his face. "You really are so bull headed, Hazel!" He said calmly.

He got up and walked into the bathroom, without another word. I was astonished Alex wasn't giving me the response I wanted, rather he was totally different tonight. Gaius walked into the room and took the bowl of soup and trolley away.

Alex walked back into the room minutes later, he was in his black pijamas. "Now where were we?" He said. Gaius walked back in immediately with another trolley of soup and fruits. Alex took spoon full and fed me. This time I just couldn't reject it.

"I'm full Alex, I don't feel like eating anymore!" I said and he dropped the bowl. Gave me water, arranged my side of the bed and laid me properly. "Get some rest Hazel!" He said as he turned off the light. I couldn't sleep, how was I supposed to sleep. "Is my mum really dead Alex?" I asked hoping for him to at least say the impossible.

"Hazel get some rest you'd get better by morning!" Was the only thing he said. I got really furious at his response, "if you don't kill me tonight Alex I'll kill you!" I said sternly and the lights were turned on. "And how're you supposed to do that?" Alex sat up.

"Hazel I've had enough of your foolishness, you're not the first person to loose a parent and you'd not be the last. Don't provoke me Hazel!" "You keep saying the same thing over and over again. No need to worry, I'll find other means to help you end your miseries, once I'm dead, you can have peace and go back to your lover!" I cried.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" He asked.

"Don't force me to live Alex, my life is not yours to decide. You stole my most valuable jewel away from me, what more do you want?" I used the band aid on my hands to clean the tear drops from my eyes. I really wanted to die, I've suffered all this years for a better life for I and mum. Now I had it, I couldn't give her the best life she deserved cause I married a heartless man.

I didn't talk to Alex again that night neither did I talk to him the next morning. And he didn't say anything to me either. He didn't even feed me like he said, he sent Elena to do it instead. Elena helped me with my bath and dressed me up. She also helped me downstairs where I told Gaius to prepare Alex's favorite meal as a thank you gift from me to him.

Elena helped me back to my room when I was done with Gaius, I was a bit happy that morning. "You can leave now Elena, I'll call you if I need anything!" I said with a smile and she smiled back and left.

I brought out the pills I took from the bathroom, the same locker Alex took a liquid from the first day I got here. I really didn't know what it was for but I made sure I took lots of it. In the next five minutes, I had stomach ache, I rolled on the bed crying and crying till I passed out.
