As Alex approached Linda's door, his heart began to race. Although he had confessed his feelings to her before, this time felt different. Perhaps it was because he knew that this could be his last chance to propose to her. Summoning all his courage, he knocked on the door and heard Linda's voice inviting him in. As he entered the room, he saw her sitting in a chair. Feeling incredibly nervous, he approached her and greeted her, but he couldn't bring himself to look up at her. Linda noticed his unease and took charge, asking him directly why he had come. Alex gathered his thoughts and opened up to her, telling her everything he had been feeling. Linda was shocked by his confession, and after they talked, they both fell silent, lost in their own thoughts.

As the silence stretched on, the atmosphere grew tenser until suddenly Linda broke it with a single question: "So, in compensation, you want to marry me and my eldest daughter?" Alex's mind was thrown into turmoil by her words. He had to admit that the idea of marrying both Linda and her stepdaughter had been on his mind for some time, but now that the opportunity had presented itself, he realized how difficult it was to put his feelings into words.
He thought, "Wait a minute, I'm asking to marry two women who take care of me but also are each stepmother and stepdaughter. This is not a normal situation, and it might even be considered a crime in some places. But I can't bear the thought of losing either of them, so I have to ask. Still, I'm worried about how Linda will react. I need to be honest with her."
Taking a deep breath, Alex turned to Linda and said, "I know I'm being selfish, but I love both of you and want to be with you. That's why I asked the king to let me marry both of you." Linda was surprised by his words and paused for a moment before responding. "So, you want me to be with you, but not as your wife? You only want me to take care of you?" Alex realized that his words had been unclear, and quickly clarified his intentions. "No, I want to marry you, but I don't want to force you into it. I want you to fall in love with me naturally, and I promise to do everything in my power to make that happen."
In Alex's mind, he was already planning his next move. He thought, "I hope that when I confess my love to her, she'll fall for me just like she did before. But I won't pressure her into anything. I want her to genuinely love me for who I am." With a sense of relief, Alex replied to Linda, "Yes, I want you to come with me." He left to meet Maya with renewed hope that his next proposal would be successful.
Meanwhile, Linda started packing her bags, feeling happy that her political marriage was finally coming to an end. She was excited to see the world and live her life without any further responsibilities holding her back.
