'...hmmm, only 2 items stand out to me. The Shadow clone technique and the additional tail unlock giving me additional energy reserves and release rates, guess I can eventually become a 9 tails if this isn't a 1 time item. But the cost seams high. I don't even know how to gain points or how quickly I can gain them.' I thought to myself

'Host also has a 1 time use to be given a low grade item for free, as a boon for awakening the System' the System informed me

'Oh, OK. Unfortunately the 2 items I am interested are both high grade, and I didn't get a godly item on my first unlock. Let's take a second look at the low grade items list.' I said while looking at the list that just popped up

Only 3 items caught my eye. 1, enhanced sense of taste, helps make foods taste better and can even help identify if food is poisonous to the Host, this will eventually adapt to the sense of smell as well since both senses are necessary for each other. 2, hand upgrade. Note, this is not a full humanoid form, just the front paws and the basics of the front legs to be able to use them properly. These hands allow the Host to grab things and will eventually allow hand holds in combat. Also increases claw length but decreased claw thickness. 3, World Map. Can be upgraded. After unlocking the full map of Earth, the map will be upgraded to the soar system, and so on and so forth. Also, it will act as a GPS for Host, so after meeting certain being Host can know the exact location of them in real time. Also, the changes of land marks and masses will auto update after map is fully unlocked. So if Host unlocks the map before the meteor destroys Pangea, the Host doesn't need to go unlock the map AGAIN.

'Well, 1 and 2 were kind of a toss up but 3 blew them out of the water, I get why it's a low rank. It'll take centuries to unlock the full map so it is a long term investment. I've decided System. I'll take the Work Map function.' I stated

'DING. Host has unlocked World Map. Just think Map to open the local area map that can be zoomed out if you've unlocked enough area around Hosts location.'

'Alright. System, how do I earn points?' I asked

'Host must kill and/or eat kaiju flesh to earn points, there are other ways but Host is s long way from them so I won't mention them for now Host.' System informed me. 'Also Host, the species on Earth right now are Pseudo Kaiju. Many species have the potential to become Kaiju but won't, due to failing at the evolution opportunities they receive. The ones that succeed may be the only 1 of their species that evolves, meaning there will be only 1 of them until they die. Host should focus on the species that can procreate for points.'

'OK. So I know I've only had one meal, but did I earn anything from it?' I asked half expecting a negative response

'Yes. Host ate Kaiju flesh so it earned the Host 2 points.' System said

'Well I wasn't expecting much but why only 2 points?' I asked

'Host didn't kill the Kaiju, just ate its flesh. Because of this factor Host only earned 2 points.' System told me

'Alright, I understand. It just sucks that lowest price on the low grade is 10 points.' I said

'Low grade items prices vary from 1 to 100 points. Mid grade items prices vary from 101 to 10,000. High grade items prices range from 10,001 to 1 million points. Unique and godly items prices are over 1 million points.' System informed me. 'Low grade items are not combat oriented or physical generally. Mid grade items are are generally minor combat and physical oriented abilities. High grade items are extreme physical changes or abilities that can be law defying in nature. Unique and Godly items are exactly what the name says, bloodlines and even law comprehensive abilities.'

'Well that answered my questions. Why haven't I really been feeling a boost in my power from the radiation in the air?' I asked. I could barely move a rock my size in the cave, which opened up a larger inner chamber that my parents didn't even know was there.

'Host, there are multiple reasons for this. First, Host has been in this cave his whole life, not even going into the sunlight yet. Second, Hosts body is still growing and the crystalline body is not yet complete. Third, the cave Host is currently in is naturally shielded from radiation, causing Host to only having advanced this far in his strength. There's more to it but these are the 3 biggest reasons.' System gave ke a detailed list

'.....well shit. Nothing for it for now, guess I'll just keep exercising until I'm either a year old or my parents start to take us outside for fresh air or our first hunt.' I decided as I started to to full body push-ups til I couldn't anymore

And just like that, 4 more months passed. Then on the day we turned 10 months old, my father took me outside alone, leaving my siblings with my mother.

'I wonder what we're doing out here. Is he taking me out for fresh air? Is he kicking me out, feeling I'm a threat to his Alpha status? Or is he taking me hunting since I'm double his size and can help out....and work for all the food I eat?' I wondered to myself

'He's most likely taking Host hunting since wolves are still pack animals and Hosts reasoning is correct. Host eats as much as everyone else combined and should start working himself. Hosts father has been getting worse in health due to all the hunting he's had to do, primarily for the Host. Don't worry, Host helping and starting to hunt will allow your father to return to his peak, after all, he's still young and will only die from combat or extreme exhaustion.' System told me

'Thank you System.' I said as I followed my father farther and farther from the den, finally walking out of the cave system into the sunlight. My body started to absorb the solar radiation like a sponge. I wondered if this is how a Kryptonian felt. The acid rain stung for a second then started to strengthen me as well, turning my almost fully crystalline fur into a mane behind my head and making my thin looking tail, by comparison, poof out like a foxes almost. I realized this ment my power was increasing.

For an hour we walked through the rain as the sun rose behind the clouds. But even in this short amount of time I could tell I grew again. This didn't surprise me as I was certain my growth would eventually slow down but never stop. Then, in front of us appeared some animals I'd never seen before. I knew that the fossil records didn't show much of what used to life but still, I couldn't compare the creatures in front of me to anything I'd ever heard of in my past life. I knew this was dinner.

My father looked at me telling me to stay down and watch so I could learn. I did as I was told. I've seen plenty of documentaries to get the gist of what to do, but it's better to learn when it's on an unknown creature. My father took off after a creature that wandered to far from its herd, I watched, I learned, I hunted. And like that, I finally turned one year old.
