Chapter 15

Somehow, Henri managed it. His bed laying skills were far from perfect but it was enough to deceive the eye if you stared at it from afar. It would do.

Due to students resuming at various times of the day, the only meal that would be served on their first day would be dinner but the students present were free to visit the cafeteria whenever they wished.

Henri could go for some tea and scones right now but that meant that he had to go get it himself. He gingerly took off his overcoat, it was a bit stuffy and uncomfortable to wear all the time, it would explain why everyone seemed to get rid of theirs as soon as they could.

He had decided to get himself some tea, there was no reason not to. There was a map behind the schedule he had been given so he could easily navigate his way through the buildings.

His room was on the third and final floor of the year one dorm so he had to go down two whole flights of stairs just to get out of the dorms. He wasn't very pleased with the athletics involved in getting a simple midday snack.

But it had to be done nonetheless so he stepped out of his room, rather warily too like he expected Audie and his two monsters to jump him. He didn't bump into them but he did meet someone else right after leaving his room.

"No way, your room is right next to mine?" Another student approached him, they had orange red hair and startling freckles. "You're the Omega Prince right?" He spoke rapidly, not letting Henri get even a word in. "Sweet! Jann, come see, you're not going to believe this…" He opened the door to the next room to yell at someone out of sight."

Henri sighed softly and just walked away, he supposed he could appreciate Audie's friends for not mentioning his status even once.

Going down to the cafeteria to get snacks was possibly the worst decision that Henri could have made. He was accosted every single step he made by other students asking obvious questions. He calmly ignored them but by the time he got to the cafeteria, he had lost his appetite and just wanted to be back in his room again.

The cooks down at the cafeteria were elated to see him and before he could finish stating what he wanted, they already had a large wicker basket prepared for him. Henri was used to this kind of treatment but for some reason, the stares he got from the other students frolicking in the cafeteria made him feel self-conscious.

An attendant was sent back with him to carry the basket and before he left, the head cook handed him an odd contraption. Now Alpha Academy was well known for its tremendous breakthroughs in many areas and that included prototypes of inventions that were only used at the academy for the time being.

"If His Highness is in need of anything, just use this to contact me. It is a direct line to the cafeteria." The bubbly lady informed him, smiling proudly like she couldn't wait to receive orders from him.

"Please call me Henri, ma'am, and thank you." He bowed regally, even more eager to leave now.

All the cooks had hurried out to get a look at him, the entire cafeteria skidded to a halt as well when he walked in looking a little lost. Everyone wanted to get a glimpse of the hidden Omega Prince.

"Oh, how precious." The head cook swooned, the other cooks mimicking her actions.

The only person not swept up in the curious crowd was a scowling Cecil. Henri dogged his every step, it made his skin itch.

"Have something against Prince Henri?" His roommate's voice interrupted his hate filled train of thoughts.

He glared at Alois. "That's none of your business." He snapped, his frown deepening although Henri was gone and the cafeteria had gone back to normal. "Why are you sitting beside me anyway? I don't remember inviting you to my table."

Alois seemed to edge even closer. "You didn't but you looked lonely so I invited myself."

Cecil didn't even bother to grace him with a response, quietly getting up with his cup of iced chocolate and heading to another table. He was just done having a conversation with a senior in the art club. It had taken a lot of convincing but he had eventually gotten what he wanted…

"Do you want to head back to the dorm together?" Alois' voice drifted into his thoughts again, making them skid to a halt.

Cecil glanced at him with equal parts irritation and concern. "Stop following me around." He scolded, wondering how he hadn't noticed Alois slipping into the space beside him. For his size, he was rather sneaky.

"You're not going back to the dorm then." Alois calmly clarified, getting to his feet. "I'll leave first." He decided, picking up Cecil's drink to steal a sip and place it back on the table in front of him.

Cecil was left speechless, he was usually a very level headed person who knew how to predict people's actions from being observant but Alois caught him unprepared every single time.

"Oi! Cecil! Who was that?" Two boys walked up to him.

"Forget about who that was, you abandoned us, Cecil…"

The two boys were his friends from preparatory school, lackeys more like. Their fathers were business associates of his father so they had been friends for years. They had separated when he had to return to curry favor with the media and because he had been too busy after that setting up his plans, he hadn't gotten the chance to meet up with them again.

"Good, you're both here. Sit down, we have something important to discuss." He directed with authority in his voice.

The first Alpha that spoke pointed at his drink. "Are you still drinking that?"

Cecil slid the cup across the table to him with a straight face. "No, you can have it."

"What did you want to discuss?
