Something Is Wrong

"What's wrong with you?" Han Xing was taken aback, unsure of what to do. He couldn't sit still or stand, so he could only hand a tissue to Han Yanran and gently pat her head.

"It's alright. If you encounter any grievances, you can just tell me," he said.

Han Yanran leaned her head against Han Xing's chest, looking up at him. A hint of mischief appeared on her delicate face.

"Xing, would you ever abandon me? After our parents passed away, you're the only family I have left."

"I'll never abandon you," Han Xing reassured her softly. "You're the only sister I have."

"But, but I'm not your real sister!" Han Yanran said, her voice filled with even more sadness after speaking those words.

"No matter if you're my biological sister or not, I will always take care of you," Han Xing gently patted her back, feeling something amiss deep down.
