PAIN IS REAL

"Lucifer, you called me?" Selene asked as she wiped the blood off her hands, walking to the man in his big throne like chair.

"Enjoyed?" He gave a smirk while puffing in a smoke stick.

"He is a tough one, but very emotional so it is exciting to deal with his craps. Thank you for the gift or else I would have ripped you open by now." She threw the towel on the glass table and jumped to sit on it.

"Scary enough."

He just kicked the table leg and pushed himself with the chair to the screen behind him, while pressing a button. The screen lightened up and it showed a random street on earth. Selene was confused because she had never been shown anything related to earth before. It was just banned for her and he has warned her never to look for it secretly. Selene just bit her lower lips not being able to process what was happening right then. Is he going to abandon her or leave back to earth forever? She moved restlessly on the table, not being able to keep her eyes on the slides properly.

"What's wrong?" He asked noticing her being unstable.

"W-why are you showing me this? A-am I e-even allowed to s-see this?"

That would be the first time Selene was seen stuttering by someone and Lucifer got concerned for a split second. It didn't take much time for him to realize from where it was coming. Her state made him laugh but he sucked in his bottom lips to not piss her off even more. The slides were keeping on changing as he stood from his chair, while walking to her which she didn't even notice. His hands moved through her curly reddish hair, bringing her back to senses and she quickly pushed him in reflex.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"Waking you up from your day dream, my pretty demon. Are you not seeing that I am showing something really important for you to just ignore." His husky vibrating voice sent shivers down her spine.

"T-that is e-earth and I am b-banned from seeing it."

"Well, you were but not anymore. I want you to enjoy everything that I am enjoying along with me." Her eyes sparkled hearing his words, he was finally taking her with him to his favourite place.

"R-really?" She had to ask to confirm that her ears were not betraying her because of the earlier screams from her prey.

"I don't say words without meaning it." He scoffed before plopping back on the chair.

"I a-am so exciteddddddd, finally y...."

"You will be serving me even in earth just like this. You can have your own life too which will be away from my personal space." He cut her off with a gentle smile.

Selene's face dropped in an instant hearing those words. Clearly, what else did she expect from him? He is Lucifer for a reason and that being emotionless and inconsiderate. She would just be a demon who accompanies him and listens to his orders and nothing more like she thinks of him. For a few seconds, Selene remembered their differences and status in the life. He is indeed the son of God while she is just a demon who got casted out of heaven.

"You are excited, right? Finally you are able to get away from me and find your own life. I bet you are going to be very happy." He smiled again, genuinely before getting up and living her behind.

The tear that threatened to leave her blue eyes finally made its way down her tanned skin. Selene was strong and emotionless but she expected him to consider her more than anyone, at least they were thrown out from their home together. He just expected her to be fine with everything just like him, without noticing that she was always lonely. Well, Lucifer was basically lonely but he spends a lot of time on earth, making friends while her world was inside the four walls with multiple dungeons and souls.

"When would you ever consider me as a friend?" She sighed while still looking at the slides which were playing.

"Caleb, I want you arrange everything like I mentioned last time in a week." He was back in his room, now talking on the phone.

"Well, that's lovely." He cooed out before staring at the door, where Selene was standing.

She was impatiently waiting for him to end the call and as per her cue, he ended the call. The next thing was her sprinting to him and pinning him down on the couch, practically choking the life out of him. He was looking totally confused but stayed put because at times, it is normal for her to lose control but that would be the first time, she is hurting him. His eyes widened seeing her blade, almost about to pop his eyes off so moving even an inch would be like inviting death.

"You want to get rid off me right? Who is the new demon you found?"

"W-what are you talking about? Get this thing off my face."

"Shut up and tell the truth. I know you are very good at lying but right now, I will forget who you are and rip these eyes off." She groaned at him.

"What do you mean by that? When did I even lie to you?" He moved further behind to maintain the distance.

"I know that I am a demon but the fucking pain is real, Lucifer."

He looked at her face properly for once and this time all he could see was pure distress and pain. Was she hiding something from me? Am I being wrong about my decision? He asked himself while still being totally confused because he was expecting her to be super happy about this.
