The Last Card

And then, Fannie found herself inside a huge building, with the door gliding close behind her.

"The last card?" Fannie heard a whisper from someone beside her but she was so stunned at the building she found herself in that she didn't even bat an eyelid towards the person.

She walked further into the building and her eyes widened as they met tall walls.

The building in which she found herself was totally strange. Not entirely dark, however in each of the four walls of the building lay about four green fires lit in a huge metallic holder.

Behind the walls were different layers of inscriptions. Inscriptions of beasts with many and different horns, some with two or seven eyes.

On their hands were something that looked like pups. The pups had yellow eyes. One could even have mistaken the portrait of the pups to be real because of the life that circulated the yellow eyes.

Some statues were not left with the same pup inscriptions.
