The Scar

"Cruelly interested in me?" Hazel's eyes heightened as she heard those words from him.

"Yes." He replied and stared at the two prisoners for the last time without uttering anything to them. He grabbed her by her arm and walked towards the entrance.

When they came out from the dungeon, the two guards bowed to him, and then she only looked at them, curiously.

The man continued dragging her away from the corridor and she was so exhausted thinking of when all this walking around the corridors would stop.

And when they got to another entrance, he opened the door with a special type of key and they walked inside.

When he entered, he locked the dungeon. This action made her more than frightened, she looked over at his shoulders and saw that no one was in the dungeon except the both of them.

Her mind wondered about what he could be planning to do to her. Why were they alone?

And what happens if the full moon just shows up this time?

Though the dungeon wasn't as scary as the last one, she could still perceive a pungent smell, lacing every air she breathed in.

She looked everywhere again, attempting to talk but then, he thought more about whatever she wanted to say because there was no way she could receive another beating. She was weak and could barely think.

She looked around again, trying not to stare at the man's horrible eyes but then he took her face into his hand and then said, "Now that it has gotten to this, I will like to caution you enough, Hazel."

'Warn me?' She thought.

What was he doing? And why did he want to warn her?

She only listened carefully despite being terrified. Her heart started to beat harder like that of a pathetic young woman who committed suicide and was standing between the gate of heaven and hell, waiting for her name which wasn't even in any of the books.

His eyes were... she could not actually decide what colours were inside those lobes as she was taken away by them. Her mind remained bland until he tugged her off her reverie, "You must not let the prince know that you are the girl he saw fourteen years ago. Do you understand?" His eyes bore into hers and for the first time in her life, she felt that she could hear someone's beating heart.

Hazel's eyes and ears suddenly went numb and she tried to understand all that she had heard just now.

Fourteen years ago?

All that she could remember was this very strange boy who had hairy, white fur and tore off a boy of his age.

She could remember that she was hiding behind a tree and had seen every single thing that took place before she ran off.

She could not tell if anyone had seen her but she was confused about who this man was to know about that very dreadful day.

"I...I don't know what you are talking about." She stuttered and was already scared that she might get hit by him for lying because she could feel that this man had an internal and hidden ability to read one's mind.

"You don't?" He asked again, this time, Hazel felt one of his fingers growing longer and thicker resembling a claw, it buried itself in her chin and she only sighed, not knowing what to do now that it seemed this man had figured out that she was just saying the false but still, she was not entirely sure.

"I...I don't."

He filled another claw of his into her chin and this time, it tore into her flesh slowly and blood began to drop from her skin.

She knew that if she continued to lose blood, she might faint right now.

"Don't pretend!" He growled and Hazel shook.

Right now, she was scared to hell. She did not want to dare lie at all now when she had started to notice that his mixed eye colours were turning orange again.

"Fourteen years ago," she started. "I was in a forest but I don't know what you are thinking or talking about."

"Show me your scar, Hazel, and stop pretending not to know me!"

Hazel looked at him again, trying to make sense of what he had added again. It seemed that every word from this man always made her even more confused than she was.

She looked at him again, taking his words literally as she tried to guess or recall if she had seen this certain face before but before she could swim into her pool of thoughts, he took his hand away from her chin and grabbed the neck of her wet gown, before she knew what, he pulled it down, exposing her naked skin which resulted into a gasp from her.
