Cathrin was a woman of Chinese heritage standing 5.8 feet tall who had spent the majority of her life in Kuala Lumpur. She had all of the characteristics that are typically associated with Chinese women; the one thing that set her apart was the fact that she was almost unnaturally gorgeous. She had a long face, monolid eyes, thin lips, and a slight snub on her face, and her skin was quite pale. When Robin saw her in person for the first time, he was initially taken aback by her stunning good looks. However, he quickly suppressed his attraction to her so as not to give the impression that he was a pervert.
In the meantime, Cathrin had never before in her life witnessed Geralt in such a flawless state. She had been doing cosplay for a very long time, and despite the fact that she was not a professional cosplayer, she had a lot of experience in the field. But she had never seen a costume of Geralt that was that intricately made before, nor had she ever seen a cosplay of 2B or whomever the woman was that was so intricately detailed. Of course, the handsome face of Robin in real also blew her away.
Geralt was eventually released from the burden of participating in the numerous group selfies and photographs that were made with the attendees of the convention.
"Hi..", Robin said, cracking a grin on his face as he spoke.
"Hello.. You absolutely nailed it as far as a Geralt cosplay goes." It was impossible for Cathrin to refrain from praising him. She made a proper introduction by giving Robin a firm handshake.
"Uh. Since this is my very first time, all I could do was try my very best. Finding the appropriate wig is almost never easy." Robin stated. When Cathrin heard Robin speaking in a low voice, she felt actual butterflies in her stomach for some reason. The deep tone made Robin seem more like Geralt.
Obviously not like Henry Cavill from the series, but rather like the one from the game, as Robin had replicated it, with the witcher clothing being an upgraded version of the wolf school attire.
"Right. Finding a good wig can be challenging. There are times when Alibaba does not have the appropriate wig." Cathrin also gave a slight nod of her head while maintaining the most unruffled demeanour she could muster. She had a serious crush on Robin but did her best to conceal it from the other person. Sigret, who was standing behind Robin, gave Cathrin a grin as she looked at her. Because Sigret had done her research on Cathrin.
Consequently, when she heard the girl's heart beating faster than usual, she understood that the girl had just fallen in love with her master. The only thing she needed to do was prod Robin, who had been acting as unresponsive as a rock that had been around for a lifetime. When Myrene and Sigret approached, Robin and Cathrin had already begun discussing the various materials that may be used for cosplay.
"This is Myrene. My business partner." Robin said as he introduced her to Cathrin. When Cathrin heard that, her heart literally sprang into her throat. She had caught a glimpse of Myrene and Sigret from the fringes of the convention with Robin, but she mistook them for fellow cosplayers who had merely coincided in attendance at the event.
"And this is Sigret. My secretary. They both made the decision to participate in the cosplay event with me, so they came along." Robin stated.
'Damn, these females are more lovely than the professional models I have seen,' Cathrin thought this as she began to feel a twinge of envy. Though these women were just cosplaying, she could tell that these women were really beautiful.
"Hello. M my name is Cathrin." Cathrin began by introducing herself to the group. The two androids also expressed their greetings. After exchanging those first few words, they had a conversation with one another while Cathrin did her best to determine whether or not Robin had any "close" relationships with the other two women while simultaneously attempting to deduce information from the women's body language.
This went on for about an hour as they wandered around the convention and Robin animatedly chatted about his passion for manga and anime. Robin usually discusses this topic with his closest buddy, but in this situation, he had the opportunity to chat with someone else who had the same interests.
Even though Sigret and 2B came to the cosplay for the event, the only reason they did so was because they were playing characters from their own universe. As a result, neither of them could equal the same level of enthusiasm as Cathrin and Robin, who appeared to be having a conversation about a variety of anime. When Cathrin discovered that she and Robin shared similar passions, she let out a sigh of relief.
After some time had passed, the four of them decided to eat lunch together at a restaurant. At one moment, Robin had to go to the washroom to freshen himself up so Cathrin was left with Myrene and Sigret. Within a very short period of time, the atmosphere turned strange as there was not a single sound to be heard among the three. Sigret's voice might be heard coming from nowhere.
"You like him, don't you?"
"Huh!" This question came out of nowhere, and it caught Cathrin off guard. The word 'like' was a tricky one for her. Even though she got butterflies in her stomach after meeting him and even though they shared interests, this did not indicate that she 'liked' him. The easiest way to describe what's happening here is as a "instant crush." To like someone would take some time, and it was considerably more challenging to love someone. That remark coming from her was very unexpected for her.
During this whole time, she had been thinking that Sigret might admire Robin, while Myrene might have some strong feelings; otherwise, it didn't make sense for an individual who wasn't a fan of anime to be cosplaying with Robin. If a lady did not like the other person, she would not go to such great measures for them. The fact that these two women got along so well with one other was another thing that also made no sense, and it prevented anyone from comprehending their connections.
"Why? Do you not also have feelings for him?" Cathrin questioned in response. She was a self-assured lady to begin with, and the fact that she was aware that Sigret was a more stunning woman than she was did not make her feel that she would be outclassed by Sigret in any way. Sigret gave a little chuckle and shook her head.
"No. Simply put, he is my boss. Nothing more, nothing less." When Cathrin heard the 'falsehoods,' she couldn't help but let out an internal laugh. Sigret continued by saying the following.
"If you like him, you should go for him. He had not been with a partner for a considerable amount of time. Since we are going to be in this location for several days, this is your opportunity." Cathrin was stunned by what she heard. She anticipated that Sigret would correct her in some manner, but in the end, she just gave her the all clear signal.
'Was this guy a harem collector or something?'
Both Sigret and Myrene would have burst out laughing if they had known what she was thinking. Robin was the antithesis of people who fit that description. He was a staunch supporter of the single-partner hypothesis, to the point where he avoided reading books with the word "harem" in the title. Cathrin was about to respond, but she stopped herself when she caught a glimpse of Robin coming back out of the corner of her eye.
The uneasy and slightly hostile environment dissipated as soon as Robin took a seat, and everything quickly returned to its previous state. They remained there for an additional hour, during which time they continued to eat and walk around the restaurant. The fact that they were dressed in cosplay made it rather awkward for them to walk about the city, so they chose to head back to their own homes instead.
While Cathrin was travelling back, the only thing that crossed her mind was the brief chat that she had with Sigret and Myrene when Robin wasn't there. At first, she thought that Sigret was joking, but she never once had the slightest inkling that there was any type of attraction between Robin and Sigret or between Robin and Myrene.
'Why am I investing so much time and energy on this guy? Pfft, what's the big deal? He's just another dude.' Cathrin thought but no matter what Robin did occupy her thoughts. After their encounter, Robin and the other two headed back to their hotel.
"Did you scare her away?" Robin asked as he was sure that Sigret might have talked with Cathrin in private. She had greater faith in Myrene in these kinds of predicaments because Myrene was the quiet type and rarely engaged in conversation.
"Of course no. I asked her whether she would go out with you." Sigret revealed her hand to him.
"Who are you trying to fool? If it was in your hands, you would kill the whole of humanity and start a new." Robin stated.
"Is that how master views a servant like me? I am disappointed." Sigret uttered those words in a mournful tone. Robin did nothing but roll his eyes. She was an AI to begin with and had witnessed the dark side of humanity. Robin had read sufficient science fiction to understand the perspective of AIs with regard to having control of the planet.
The fifth of April, 2023
Cathrin and Robin shared more texts than they ever did before and under the urge of Myrene and Sigret, he asked her out and Cathrin almost jumped in joy hearing that. She was taken aback when Robin made the bold move to actually ask her out on a date. In point of fact, even if Robin hadn't asked her out, she most certainly would have done so on her own due to the fact that the words of Sigret were still resonating in her thoughts and the fact that Robin was too mysterious for her. Even after hours of conversation, she had a very limited understanding of him.
Robin went to the trouble of selecting an exclusive eatery and grooming himself for the date. Sigret offered her assistance to him because she wanted him to give her the best possible impression of himself. Sigret forced Robin to sit down and assisted him with his hair, the small amount of beard that was on his face, and choosing an elegant outfit for the date. Up until that point, Robin had never really cared much about grooming himself because he found it to be an exhausting process.
"Thanks Sigret."
"You are welcome. I am only doing this because you think I hate her. Because it is getting tedious with the woodswoman here, I would really like it if she could come along with us." Sigret stated. Myrene, who was in the middle of reading a book at the time, didn't bother to respond to Sigret's rebuke.
