Jenny of Hull

Winterhold; Skagos, The North; Seventh Moon of 97 AC

Dacey Dovahkiin POV

Dacey Dovahkiin watched with a smile on her face Ragnar playing with Bjorn and Lyanna, the boy and his twin, born in the middle of 94 AC, had just seen their third name-day, but they were as attached to Ragnar as Lynara was. Dacey knew Lynara was Ragnar's favorite child, but that was mainly because she was so similar to him in how she acted and the things she liked that they ended up doing everything together. Lynara was a female clone of her father, both in looks and personality. That, however, didn't mean Ragnar didn't love the Twins; in fact, Ragnar was so excited to train and teach the "man's code" to Bjorn that he could barely keep it together. Ragnar would talk to Bjorn about his adventures and things men do even though the baby couldn't understand anything. Lyanna, however, was a different way; she was a quiet baby and enjoyed sleeping in Ragnar's arms, something Dacey loved as well; being in her husband's arms brought comfort and a feeling of safety she didn't know one was capable of feeling.

As Ragnar held Lyanna and Bjorn in the air with his magic, Dacey got close to him and kissed him on the cheek.

" What's that for?" Ranger asked with a slight smile on his face.

" Nothing... it's just that fatherhood agrees so much with you. You are a natural at this." Dacey said with a huge smile on her face. Ragnar's eyes locked on hers, sending shivers down her spine and butterflies down her belly.

" Aye... I suppose so. But you are a great mother as well as a great wife... Extremely beautiful most of the time." Ragnar began, " all that, and you can pack some heavy punches." Ragnar joked, and Dacey nodded.

" It seems my husband has a silver tongue as well," Dacey commented

" My tongue is more than silver, and you know it very well. It knows YOU very well." Ragnar said with a mock grin, and Dacey laughed

" Aye! That it does. Tell me, my love, will you take the children with us to the Harvest meeting at Winterfell? It is an excellent opportunity for Lynara to meet little Rickon ." Dacey asked, and Ragnar nodded

" Aye, I agree with you, love. It is an excellent opportunity; perhaps Lynara will like the boy, and I won't have to refuse Lord Stark's offer. Perhaps I should ask Benjen to let Rickon foster with me." Ragnar began, " It's one more child to raise; I could make him... at least worthy of my daughter." Ragnar completed

" Aye..." Dacey said

" High papa! High!!" little Bjorn said, and Dacey saw Ragnar twitch his finger, his magic sending Bjorn a little higher, much to the boy's extreme delight.

" And how are the preparations for this year's harvest meeting?" Dacey asked as she looked at Björn giggling form in the air, his sister much quieter yet as happy by his side

" The Owls will be ready by the last moon of this year, 50 Owls for House Stark, should the necessity of calling his banners arises, and Ten Owls to every other lord in The North. By the third moon of the following year, the Maesters will be out of the North." Ragnar commented, apparently happy with his accomplishments.

" Wonderful, love. With the Hightower's spies out of The North, people will be safer… The North will prosper even more." Dacey said

" Magic will be safer. Once Lynara is trained enough, I will take her beyond the Wall to get the remaining Giant's loyalty. Mayhaps even bring more Frist Men blood to Skagos." Ragnar said thoughtfully

" Are you sure, Ragnar? She's still a child, our little girl…." Dacey began but was interrupted by Ragnar

" Our Little Girl with the strength of five men… if she punches hard enough, she could probably kill someone bare-fisted. Her training is going smoothly; Love. She's our daughter… a Dovahbear… a beargon. She has your resilience, stubbornness, and mental fortitude. She will be all right; I will be by her side all time, and the dragons as well." Ragnar said, and Dacey blushed at Ragnar's blatant flattery.

" Nay… it will not be that easy this time, love. You will have to say more nice things for me to consider." Dacey said, and Ragnar laughed.

" Papa," Lyanna called, and Ragnar looked at her; she opened her arms as if asking for a hug, and Ragnar quickly got hold of her and put her in his arms

" What happened, Little one?" Ragnar asked lovingly

" I want papa!" Lyanna said, and Ragnar chucked; he hugged her and let her head rest on his shoulders

" Your papa is here, little one. Always and forever." Ragnar said, and Lyanna nodded on Ragnar's shoulder, her eyes opened and looking around. Ragnar looked at Dacey with eyes full of love.

Dacey couldn't help but get closer to them, with little Björn floating atop their heads; the only one missing was Lynara.

" What is Lynara doing at the College?" Dacey asked

" She's trying to crack a spell I showed her, an illusion spell. The muffle spell, it's quite a complex spell to master, unlike the regular illusion spell; this one doesn't affect someone's vision." Ragnar said, and Dacey nodded

" She will not stop until she learns it, right?" Dacey asked blanc faced

" Nay… she's her mother's daughter, after all," Ragnar said as he stole a quick kiss from her.

Kingshouse port; Skagos, The North; Sixth moon of 97 AC

Jenny of Hull POV

Jenny was born in Oldtown six and ten years ago to a Blacksmith's daughter and a Merchant from Driftmark, Arion Goldsea. Jenny's father had classical Valyrian looks, Silver hair, and purple eyes, which she had inherited from him. Jenny's father was an accomplished man who accompanied Lord Corlys Velaryon on his last voyage before the Death of Lord Daemon Velaryon. Jenny's Father was a wealthy merchant and an excellent sailor, so when Lord Corlys Velaryon announced the official trade agreement between House Dovahkiin and House Velaryon, Jenny's father was one of the first to volunteer to join the Skagos/Driftmark trade routes. Jenny was excited by such development as she was excited to see the City of The Old Gods, the most beautiful and bigger city in the realm. The Skagossi and Manderlyn merchant had spread stories about the wonders of Winterhold, its thousands of hearts-trees, giants, and Children of The Forrest, and of course, the massive Ice Dragons, mounts of Lady and Lord Dovahkiin; whose name should not be besmirched in the presence of a Skagossi unless one seeks to make enemies.

As Her father's ship docked in the cold port of Kingshouse, Jenny couldn't help but marvel at the stony city, with hundreds of warehouses, trading squares, and spaced streets, with wagons pulled by giant goat-like creatures and mammoths taking goods and materials around and to the ships. Jenny and her father disembarked from their ship, and a guard wearing House Dovahkiin's colors and a grey cloak with House Dovahkiin's dragon on it walked to them

" Welcome to Kingshouse port, the gates of Skagos. You are allowed to come and go as you please, just as long as you don't go inland; If you wish to go to Winterhold and you are not a Northerner, you will have to go under questioning and swear upon the king's banners that you wish to bring no harm to the city that holds winter at bay. The Children of the Forrest are not to be disturbed under any circumstances. Should one touch a Child of the Forrest without their consent, it's either the Wall or the block; however, you can get a giant to help your crew unload your goods in Skagos by negotiating with said giants." The guard said, and Jenny's father nodded, as did everyone in their crew.

Jenny and her father spent the whole day unloading the goods from the ship, spices, tea leaves, and a few select kinds of berries from essos. Arion was able to sell almost everything by the first day, primarily due to the skagossi merchants already expecting the spices coming from Drifimark.

The Skagossi people were a unique kind of people; one could see valyrians, northerners, Ibbenease, and even some central-esssosi calling the Island home; they all spoke with the same accent and had the same customs, they all prayed to the same gods, and above all, they all respect their Lord and Lady to an almost unseen level. Inns, shops, houses, warehouses, and industries were all decorated with the Dovahkiin banner and sometimes the Stark banner, although on a tiny scale and usually only by older northerners. The Skagossi were proud of being Skagossi and worked very hard to back their pride up.

Jenny's second day in Skagos began early; a roar awakened her and probably everyone in Kingshouse port; the two dragons flew over the town for hours before flying in the direction of the shivering sea; according to a guard, they had gone hunting whales in the frigid waters, as they usually did once a moon.

As she waited in line to get permission to enter Winterhold, Jenny couldn't help but wonder about the biggest city in Westeros, The Tenth free-city as the Braavosi called it, or The City of the Old Gods as the Skagossi called it.

Jenny's wondering was stopped when a guard entered the keep where people were waiting to get permission and asked the crowd

" Which one of you is Arion Goldsea? Lord Dovahkiin has requested his presence at Frostfall as a guest," The Guard said, and Jenny's eyes widened.

" That would be me, Ser." Jenny's father answered

" I am not a knight, Aurion Goldsea. Lord Dovahkiin has asked for you to be brought to him as a guest of House Dovahkiin." The guard said

" I shall answer the lord's summons, goodmen." Jenny's father answered as he walked closer to the guard, who nodded and made a sign for him to follow.

The guard took them to the road that connected Kingshouse port to Winterhold, where Jenny saw a carriage tied to two unicorns. The guard opened a carriage's door and signaled for them to get inside

" This carriage will take you to Winterhold, Aurion Goldsea. The rules there are the same as the ones here." The guard said, and Jenny's father nodded

The road to Winterhold was more beautiful than Kingshouse port, with lines of Weirwood trees on each side of the road forming an archway of sorts giving the road an ethereal look, even if the Weirwood trees had no face engraved on them.

" Father, do you know why Lord Dovahkiin has summoned you?" Jenny asked

"No, daughter, I don't know. However, I would imagine it has to do with trade… maybe he wants something from me? I've heard he lets the best sailors captain his best ships; the best sailor you are, the more ships you command." Arion pondered out loud

" Would you accept? Working for him, I mean," Jenny asked

" No, my loyalty is to Lord Corlys. No ship shall change that… Not even that Black monstrosity docked on the port." Arion said, and Jenny nodded

It took Jenny and her father one hour to get to Winterhold.

Once Jenny looked through the glass window of the carriage, she saw the wonderous sight of Winterhold; thousands upon thousands of houses could be seen from the top of the hill that overlooked the city; Jenny saw two castles on the city, one bigger than High Tide and the Red Keep combined, made out of some dark grey stones with northern decorations engraved in it, and with the Sigil of House Dovahkiin on its walls. The Other castle was smaller but had strange lights coming out of it, as well as a statue of a man in scholar robes. As they got closer and closer to the city, Jenny's eyes shone with wonder. Owls of all shapes and forms flew around the city, sometimes delivering small things to some people. The thousands of Heart-tree that followed the Red River gave the river and its surroundings banks and tranquil and ethereal look and feel, as well as the tiny Children of the Forrest, tending to them. Jenny was simply stunned at the city, which simply didn't smell like a city; Winterhold smelled like Gooseberries and Lilac, something Jenny's father mentioned plenty of times as he compared the City of the Old Gods with King's Landing and Oldtown.

Jenny and her father got out of the carriage, and a guard guided them to the big castle, Frostfall, the seat of Power of House Dovahkiin; Jenny's father was the only one allowed to go inside the Lord's Solar. Jenny was allowed to walk around the castle or to stay outside waiting for he father; curious by nature, Jenny chose to explore the massive castle.
