Rising Hope

Logging out of work, Gustav released a heavy sigh as he waited for a taxi to ride home.

The offer Roland had extended earlier kept on going popping up on his head midwork.

For him, the offer was indeed quite tempting. However, there was still the matter of it being real or not. He did not dare to resign immediately afraid that he would get scammed by Roland.

Although he knew that kid for some time already, he was not willing to bet his only work for his mere words alone.

After all, even siblings would betray each other for wealth, how much more if it was just a co-worker that he got close with?

He was thinking that Roland might have become part of a pyramid or ponzi scheme. After all, the way he told the story earlier was quite suspicious. Who would suddenly decide to adopt a grown man and give them unimaginable wealth to buy the latest Ay-phone and start his own fast food restaurant?

But still… the allure money kept on popping up inside his head.
