*Narrator pov*
The days passed by and soon winter break would be over and the students would arrive via train once again.
Teachers were getting coursework ready and relaxing.
Students were having fun before the next semester started.
The headmaster of the famed British wizarding school stood in the forbidden forest. His usual gentle aura was nowhere to be seen, a calm expression marred his face while his eyes blazed in brilliance.
He stood in a clearing with his hands clasped behind his back seemingly waiting for someone.
*clop*
*clop*
*clop*
The sound of horse hooves dashing through the forest could be heard steadily approaching.
Albus thought about Morpheus, he thought about everything he's learned about the mysterious man.
The words 'worse than a dark lord' played in his mind as a heavy sense of guilt weighed on his soul.
"Headmaster Dumbledore what brings you to our forest," A rough voice called out
Albus turned his head to see three centaurs, a brief smile crossed his lips.
"Leader Magorian, I've come on seek of aid," Albus said softly though his voice seemed to carry across the forest
"We do not aid you, humans," one of the centaurs said
"Enough Bane," Magorian said sharply
"Headmaster, what type of assistance do you seek?" Magorian asked while walking forward a couple of steps
"Leader, I request the aid of knowledge. I have been told soon a war will be upon us and hope your divinations can shed some light on the subject," Albus spoke freely his calm tone never changing
Magorian looked at the Centaur who hadn't spoken yet, that Centaur nodded whilst begging to speak, "The stars tell us the upcoming years will be turbulent, chaotic, and full of death," the Centaur spoke gravely
Albus frowned, "It is as I thought, thank you Firenze you are insightful as always,"
"That is not all that troubles you,"
Magorian said moving closer to Albus
Albus sighed and said without any hope, "Unless you have any information on Morpheus Everglade, you cannot help my friend,"
Magorian laughed softly as an odd look flashed across his eyes catching Albus's attention.
"Morpheus," Magorian said lightly as if savoring the name
Turning his back on Albus Magorian continued, "Is a damn bastard of the highest degree, I cannot say much about him but what I can say that might decrease some of your worries is Morpheus fights for humanity he does not care for ruling or being the strongest. Though his methods differ from someone like you who prefers inaction over action,"
Albus stayed silent as the centaurs left without another word. Their ability to not be able to say something told Albus much, Morpheus has somehow made a deal with the centaurs.
To be honest, the Centaurs saying Morpheus doesn't desire domination alleviated many of Albus's worries.
Albus felt his soul slowly become a little lighter.
*Swish* the winter winds blew leaves in Albus's direction and the man seemed to vanish along with them
Albus appeared back in the castle seemingly taking a stroll with no worries, he stopped in front of the come-and-go room and paced back and forth.
As soon as he walked inside a small cat followed behind him.
*swish* the cat turned into Professor McGonagall
"You still haven't told me why you're having us to this everyday Albus," She said a little irritated
"Help me stretch my old bones, my dear," Albus replied in a carefree tone while brandishing his wand
She frowned, "I don't even pose a challenge to you,"
Albus laughed and then flicked his wand.
A battle soon followed.
*Morpheus pov*
With the end of winter break steadily getting closer I decided to go out once more and find some supplies.
I first traveled to Diagon Alley as I already placed an order for some training wands there.
The training wands hold two purposes, one is being able to practice control by using the bare minimum of magic needed to cast the training spells.
This is hard for the students because training wands are meant for small children, Hogwarts students have too much magic and would break the wand.
The second function I need the training wands for is to help the students practice synchronization spells.
The idea is to perfectly match your team's tempo and magical output to cast a spell the training wands would never be able to cast and for the training wands to stay intact afterward.
Walking into Ollivander's shop I softly said, "Do you have my order?"
Ollivander's head peaked out from behind a shelf, "You ordered it so many years in advance I better have it ready," He replied with a small chuckle
One of the boons of being a divination master is the ability to know years in advance when you will need something.
When I placed the order for the wands I knew I would need them in 1972 but I had no clue as to why or what I would be doing with them.
I figured it out once I decided to teach my students synchronization spellcasting.
Ollivander brought over a briefcase and patted it softly, "A little more than three hundred training wands, I would add some whenever I had time to make them,"
I nodded in thanks while sliding over the money, I then took out a small jewel and handed it over, "Thank you, my friend,"
"A horned serpent jewel? Thank you my friend this was well worth the effort," Taking the briefcase I smiled and left his shop
Leaving Diagon Alley I walked steadily into Knockturn Alley, I weaved through the cloaked figures not minding the odd looks I received for not hiding my face.
Turning right I entered a small shop without any signs.
An old man was being the counter, I walked over to him and straightforwardly said, "I require ten quarts of corpse flower juice,"
The man raised his eyebrows, "That ain't cheap,"
I placed two Horned Serpent jewels on the table, "I'm sure this will do,"
"Alright," The man said trying to sound bored as he exchanged the items but, I could see the desire in his eyes
Taking the flower juice I walked out of the shop and began to make my way back to Diagon Alley.
I could faintly hear footsteps behind me. Pausing I said lightly, "Do not attempt this foolish plan of yours,"
Hearing no response I continued to walk forward, but suddenly I felt something rapidly approaching my back.
Waving my hand a translucent shield appeared around me.
*pang!* The spells dissipated across the shield
Looking at my attackers I saw a vampire who was running toward me, I made eye contact with him.
The Vampire stopped moving, and suddenly his hands shot up holding his head.
"AHHH!" He grunted loudly while hunching over
Smiling softly I portkeyed away.
*Narrator pov*
As soon as Morpheus left the vampire seemed to be fine, he lifted his head and looked at his companions.
"Roman, are you okay?" One of the men asked
The Vampire Roman didn't respond.
*swish!* he disappeared from his spot
*SHHHICKK* Romans's colleague looked down to see a hand piercing his stomach
"ROMAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" The other wizard yelled seeing one of his friends killing the other
He quickly raised his wand but he was too slow, *CRCHHH* "AHHHH!" The man screamed as his arm went flying from his body
"You thought you could escape?" Roman talked as if he was talking to a long-time enemy
"Not this time bastard!" Roman yelled while sinking his fangs into his long-time friend
A bystander who thought about robbing Morpheus earlier thanked the gods he didn't and began to run away.
He wasn't so lucky.
