Fairy 60: Saving the Princess Part 1

Hisui who heard the emotionless words of the scary hooded Shadow Wizard before her, became startled, when those emotionless icy cold eyes looked at her.

She felt her heart rapidly beating, and her breathing becoming rougher, after all, she is only a 11-year-old child, no matter how mature she make herself to be. Before such coldness from the Shadow Wizard, it no wonder why she froze while her fears made it hard for her to reply.

But before Hisui could calmed her inner chaotic thoughts. The Shadow Wizard frowned seeing the child before him didn't answer him, and the shadows behind him, begin to move and formed onto black tentacles, as he still has his cold icy stoic expression on his face, while he looked at the little princess before him.

"I take that as force then." Said the Shadow Wizard, who hatred wasting time, especially have a boss like Damon, who like to do things at his own pace, or randomly because of his boredom. And sends the black shadow tentacles, Shadow Blind, this spell is called, towards Hisui at an alarming speed!

Maybe it was luck, when Hisui saw those black shadow-like tentacles heading towards her, she did any other normal child will do, with their instincts taking over them. She turned around, and run, however, because she was in a panicking rushed when she turned around, she lost her footing, causing her to fall onto the ground, around the same time, when those shadow tentacles reached out to grabbed her, but she tripped at that moment.

A frown came to the Shadow Wizard's face, seeing the princess by chance, dodged his magic. However, the thing about Shadow Blind, it could be control in mid-air, so he just spends more Magical Power to turned his Shadow Blinds, those shadow tentacles towards Hisui halfway.

But the moment those tentacles about to reach her again, all of the sudden, the earth they stood on, were assaulted by a powerful earthquake, causing the Shadow Wizard to lose control over his Shadow Blind, as the black tentacles disappeared into the thin air, while the Shadow Wizard himself, slammed face first onto the ground.

Hisui on the other hand, already fallen to the ground, so she managed to stabilize herself, while the earth trembled under her. It was only by luck, the cave itself didn't fall upon them.

Seeing the shadow-like tentacles no longer chasing her. Hisui didn't waste any more time, as she dashed further into the depths of the cave before her.

It is unknown how much times passes, as Hisui didn't look back, and just run and run within the system of the cave. It didn't take long for her little legs to feel like they want to fell apart. It no wonder why she felt like this, when most of the day, she spent it running away from them. And now, she still carried on running from them, just like before.

However, it wasn't just her aching legs, that made it harder for Hisui to kept on running. Soon, she even find it harder to breath, and each passing second her breathing became rougher, as she reaches the limits of her stamina itself.

It wasn't long before Hisui's legs finally given him, and she become dead tired from wasting too much stamina. If it wasn't for the cave's wall besides her, catching her fall, without a doubt, Hisui will end up face slamming the ground, like that Shadow Wizard did.

With no more enemy to spare, Hisui turned her head behind herself, and sighed with relief seeing there is no Shadow Wizard on her tail. Seeing no one is chasing her, her heart, that been chaotic since she met with the Shadow Wizard, finally settled down, calming itself.

However, soon her hopes and calmness of her heart, soon became chaotic, like her mind, when she heard a voice right above her head.

"Finally stopped moving, brat?" Hisui's green eyes widen in both shock and fear, as she slowly looked up, and stared at the shadow Wizard who is within the shadows above the ceiling above her, before Hisui could make sense what's going on, or why is he within the ceiling, black shadow tentacles once again shoot towards her.

And because, she is too tired to move, they easily captured Hisui, by wrapping themselves around the dead tired Hisui, who bitten her lips, seeing there no way she can flee or break out of the bounding of Shadow Blind.

Both Hisui and the Shadow Wizard, didn't say anything, as they stared at each other. One is uninterested, while the other, knew it is pointless for her, a mere child, to try to break out these black shadow tentacles. As she only hopeless stared at the emotionless Shadow Wizard, who lift Hisui's child body in the air, with his Shadow Blind spell.

"Now let's return, I wonder, if that knight of yours died or not." Went the Shadow Wizard, as the stoic expression on his face, still remains. Even when he saw the sad expression on Hisui's face, when he mentions that.

"Sir… Zack… he's not that weak…" Hisui said under her breath, she chosen to believe in the words of Zack, the stranger that willing to risk his life for her safety. Least she could do, believed in that man, who willing to protect her, with nothing in return.

"Sorry to say princess, that knight of yours, might be strong, a monster in his age group. But so is our Boss, how matter how strong he is, our Boss isn't a simple SS-Class Criminal, that the Magic Council labelled him. No, even if that boy turned out to be SS-Class Wizard, he still would die by his hands, our Boss is a real monster, that even SSS-Class or Saint Wizards are wary of."

When Hisui heard those words, didn't expect her words to be heard by the Shadow Wizard. Her mind became blank. Knowing the meaning behind the Shadow Wizard's words.

As a princess, and the heir of the throne of the Fiore Kingdom. Even at 11 years old, she knew many things about Wizards, and how nobles and royals see Wizards. There is a reason why S-Class and above ranked Wizards are known as elites.

Many years ago, even before her father, or grandfather ruled. War rampaged, and soldiers of normal people that cannot use Ethernano, fought against each other in 1000s, or even 10,000s.

But the war itself, that ran throughout Ishgar, changed even more dangerous, when Kingdoms brought Wizards into the war. As a single Wizard is capable of massacring dozens of soldiers alone.

This is the reason why, back in the old days, nobles, and royals, sees Wizards no different to monsters, when they saw their power on the battlefield.

It is because of that, knight orders throughout both Fiore and Ishgar, has knights who are in fact Wizards, and even normal soldiers, that wear magical armour and welds magic weapons. This is not done, to fight other common soldiers, but to battle wizards and monsters.

Good thing, that most Guilds, live by the rules by the Magic Council, created by the purpose, that Wizards wouldn't harm the common people, instead protect them, from the monsters, and Dark Wizards, that refuses to follow the rules and laws set by the Magic Council.

The Magic Council exists, to bring order and law to the Wizards, but also give peace of mind, to Kingdoms like Fiore and other such places like them.

Over time, most people forget how dangerous and powerful Wizards are to the common people. Since the Magic Council existed, so they wouldn't use their magic for evil and misdeeds.

Hisui still recall the saying, that her father, the King of Fiore, told her few times, about the wizards when war rampaged Ishgar many years ago.

The elites of wizards, that given the ranks of S-Class, are capable wiping out armies of 1000s.

While the elites of elites, SS-Class Wizards, a single one, can rival or overpower an army of 10,000.

And the powerhouses, known as SSS-Class Wizards, are monsters, that capable of going against an army of 100,000 or more.

(AN: Saint Wizards are SSS-Class, and Gods of Ishgar are also SSS-Class, not everyone is equal when they know as SSS-Class, they have known as SSS-Class, because they cannot be ranked by normal means. And not to mention, back when war rampaged Ishgar, the Magic Council didn't exist back then, but after the wars throughout Ishgar is over. So, the saying wouldn't mention Saint Wizards or Gods of Ishgar, when they are the titles given by the Magic Council.)

Of course, that saying was before, when kingdoms took in Wizards in their knight orders, or armed their armies with magical weaponry and armour.

Even if the current S-Class elite wizards cannot wipe out armies of 1,000 soldiers, like they did back then. Even so, it still known fact, a normal S-Class Wizard, can fight against 100 elite soldiers armed with magic armour and weapons, with no problem, as long their magical power wouldn't run out.

It no wonder, why Hisui, who knew this history, since it was part of her classes, as a princess. Cannot stop her face from turning pale, as she heard that red cloaked wizard, with the demon mask, Damon, is a SS-Class Criminal, with the power to rival a Saint Wizard.
