Near the cathedral in the Upper City District stood a high platform, once part of the city park, but as the park facilities were moved elsewhere due to the steam core renovation project, all that remained was this solitary, elevated spot—like a forgotten knight standing guard over the factories and squares below.
From the high platform, one could overlook the entire church district and central factory area.
Whenever Vanna had some free time, she would come here to clear her mind, and during times when her thoughts were especially turbulent, she would come to quietly reflect and organize her emotions.
The afternoon sun was pleasant, and although there was a gentle breeze, it was not very cold atop the platform. When the soft sea breeze brushed past, it would lift the hair beside her ears, causing a slight tickle.
