Chapter 57 Nowhere

Before the existence of the universe, there was a place where the horrors roamed through the dimensions, feeding on their kin and other beings that tried to live.

However as the first breath of the universe came into existence, Celestials and Gods regained their consciousness. With waves of their hands, they built a haven for themselves while creating miracles across the universe for their eyes.

The God of Space created space with the cosmic threader while the God of Time tampered with time with the voice of the universe. Their creations allowed other Gods to create their wonders as the first generation gods created almost everything.

However, they forgot one thing and that was the forbidden place where the God of Space had sealed away. He saw the terrifying image of the monsters that resided in that dimension and out of fear he forever sealed that place.

Yet, the curse continued to plague them after his demise. The next generation of the gods undiscovered his seal and unsealed the horrifying creatures into the universe as they battled them for their survival. Many fell before them and devoured by them but they managed to reseal them once again.

Still fate managed to play with them by unsealing them a second time. This time bloody war between the Celestials and the monsters created a huge chasm in the space as Celestials managed to win them, but they didn't see one thing due to their exhaustion.

A single fragment of them fell into the planet where their ancestors had hidden their magics away with their avatars.

Then a human managed to find this piece, creating forbiddin magic that was split from it. Among them was the summoning magic which harnessed the power of the unknown. Although humans and other kinds managed to perfect it over time, they couldn't hide its sinister beginning.

It was created to summon the creature from the dimension where the celestials bled and Xerxes was using that very magic to summon it.

Rumble*

The dune trembled from its huge body as she emerged from the dune with a roar. Her maroon-colored eyes with the grey serpentine bodies was large enough to tower over them.

The row of teeth filled with never-ending holes in her mouth looked like horror from fairy tales.

" Run!"

Rammes instantly paled, seeing the creature because he felt this wasn't the creation of this planet or God. It was an abomination that shouldn't exist on this planet and it was unleashed upon this world by this madman who thought his action was correct.

" Kuhaha! We will all die here."

Xerxei looked at him with a mad face, believing he had done the right thing. The sole regret that he had was not being able to get Licht on his side but whatever. If he couldn't get them, no one should get them.

" Divine Vestige, shield!"

Rammes blocked her attack with his shield but no matter how hard he tried, he was pushed to the dune with immense power that almost crushed his inner organs from a single impact.

" You, monster!"

The female inquisitor drew her rapier, slashing her tail off but in a split second, she regenerated her body as well as hardening her carcass.

" She is adapting to us."

Regina who saw this, said with shock that was visibly on her face. This made others gulp with fear because she seemed to be immortal like gods. The fallen were at least killable but this monster seemed to be growing in every second.

Her body was getting greyer and her strength was increasing but even that had limits. Licht who guessed this, gained distance between himself from her, observing her pattern with his eyes. He saw she was intelligent as them and she seemed to be in a weakened state.

Every time she got the injury, her regeneration speed would decrease but after getting close to an organic thing. She was absorbing their life force to enhance herself.

" We can't defeat it, but we can seal it or transport it away. Clearly, she has a limit for her growth and sending her away to a distance land would be not a good idea, but we don't have another choice."

Licht decided in his head, taking a deep breath to calm down.
