Ch 42 : Kushina's display of strength

In the meantime, while their manager was being trained by Rochen, the Kiseki no Sedai were currently having ht beating of their lives, directly handed down by Kushina.

"Uhm…. So, like, shouldn't we lend assistance here?" Asked Kise.

Aomine shook her head.

"This isn't a fight where we can butt in, you know. Anyway, though she beat us up, I don't feel like she's going to kill us. At most, she would make us faint and throw us away."

Anyway, Aomine felt what he's been saying was true. There were a lot of instances when Kushina could kill them.

Nonetheless, the fact that they were still living and breathing means the other party should have held back.

' But… why is she not killing us… *Sigh* Anyway, let's just get this over soon, and I want to return..'

Looking in front of him, Aomine could not help but to shook all the weird thoughts he had about Kushina.

This was a battle where Kushina swung her red giant aura claws; Akashi used his emperor eye to dodge them in the blink of an eye; and the destruction they caused was chaotically flying around in the dungeon.

'So, let's pray that Akashi would be done soon. *Sigh* Sometimes I hate that side of him which refuses to lose no matter what?'

Indeed, the only thing they were permitted to do here was to pray.

Aomine could only stare at Akashi with a tight chest as he continued to fight Kushina.

Akashi gasped out.

As expected of a boss from the high-ranking dungeon!

The fight looked to be even from the side. Even with the Emperor eye, Akashi was getting cut and sliced constantly all over his body. Would he be able to last three minutes at this rate?

If there was a status bar on this, Akashi would have seen his Hp and Mp getting depleted at a very fast rate from the effect of Emperor eye's continuous usage.

Finally, Akashi could not hold it anymore. As he finished chanting, a ball of flames larger than a volleyball flew in the direction of Kushina.

That was the power of the magic in full display.

Even the Kiseki no Sedai were looking with a hopeful look.

They have indeed given up before, but it doesn't mean that they would not take the win if they could.

Aomine and Kise raised their head to look.

But then, something happened right before their eyes.

The red aura that previously was used to attack covered Kushina in whole and coagulated back to reveal a completely harmless Kushina, but now with a face decorated with black lines all over her forehead.

Aomine became utterly speechless as the unbelievable spectacle unfolded right before his eyes.

What he saw right now proved to be too unrealistic, too outlandish. He didn't even want to ask for clarification. Not anymore.

Such strong magic, and this woman was unharmed? He could not think how he at first tried to challenge Kushina.

From his side, Kise asked him with surprised voice.

"Aomine…."

Aomine responded belatedly to him.

"Do all Dungeon bosses have strength like her?"

He must've been frightened silly, because Kise's voice was trembling noticeably. Aomine replied to him, sounding helpless as well.

Aomine and Kise's gazes were directed to Kushina.
