After the Tryout

When Mama Le heard her daughter say that her skin had been tanned, she immediately took out a mirror and looked at it back and forth a few times, but she couldn't see any obvious difference. She suspected that her daughter was teasing her so that she wouldn't go to the examination hall.

So, she turned to ask Nanny Zhang, 

"Nanny Zhang, do you think I'm really tanned?"

Madam Zhang stepped forward to take a closer look and frowned. 

"It does look a little dark."

When Mama Le heard Nanny Zhang say the same thing, she became anxious. She felt that she had really become much darker. The more she looked at herself in the mirror, the more she felt that she was not as fair as she had been in the morning.

Little did she know that the moment she lowered her head to look at the mirror, Madam Zhang and Le Wan looked at each other and smiled.
