For that time, Laura was saved from detention that Mikayla could have dropped by seeing the state of her room as a mess with shards of glass everywhere. Instead, Cassandra who was given the ultimatum had attacked Laura yesterday morning. Laura's slanted smile crossed her lips when she saw Cassandra's gaze which seemed to call out threatening sentences such as, "I'll kill you".

"I forgive you this time, honey. But not later." Mikayla touched Cassandra's cheek, stroked it gently, then slapped her.

"Aww, Mom!" Cassandra groaned in pain touching one cheek that got a hot slap from her mother. Her eyes were glaring, dark, full of vengeance and anger.

"A lesson for you not to do that to Laura again."

Groaning in annoyance, Cassandra walked away leaving Mikayla with Laura. She could scream out her frustration when she got to her room later. The girl often kicks, throws, and scatters things in her room as if they have no value to her. If only her mother hadn't stopped her from hurting Laura, Cassandra would have been happy to kill Laura painfully.

"I'm sorry Cassandra, honey. She's just too much sometimes." Mikayla put on her fake sorry face.

"No problem." Smiling, Laura accepted Mikayla's apology.
