Prehistoric Pokemon -2

A few hours had passed and now it was nearly the end time for the event. Every trainer one by one started returning their borrowed gear or getting their fossils checked.

Some talked in groups, some bragged about their findings and some had Pokemon matches. Overall it was a pleasant environment but not for some people.

Brock and Daisy were sitting in a particular camp with worried expressions as Ash hadn't returned yet.

Everyone except Ash was there.

"Did something happen with him? Why isn't he back yet? " Daisy said.

"He has Bulbasaur and Gravellar with him so he should be safe but knowing by his habit of getting into trouble I am getting worried.

I don't even know in which cave he went to look for fossils.." Brock said.

Ash's rest of the Pokemon were at the camp and worried for him to except for his Charmeleon who didn't seem to care.

Ash didn't even take his Pikachu with him.

Under normal conditions, Brock would have tried calling Ash on his device but in their current location, the network was out.

After 5 minutes Misty returned to the camp with a disappointed face.

"Did you find anything, Misty? "

"No Brock, I asked around the people who might have seen him but no use.

I think we should go to the staff members, they had an Arcanine with him. That Pokemon might help. "

"Good idea, let's do that "

Unfortunately, Aoki was not present as he could have done something to help.

Daisy one by one let Ash's Pokemon into their Pokeballs but Pikachu, Pidgeot, and Charmeleon refused to enter their Pokeball for some reason.

Pidgeot's case was justifiable but Charmelon's actions were surprising as he never once listened to Ash's commands after evolving and only did anything when it was time to eat.

After inquiring some more, the team assembled around the staff member that had an Arcanine.

"Your friend is missing huh…I hope nothing bad happened.

Although it is difficult to find his scent because of the environment, it is not impossible.

Give me something that has his smell " the staff member said.

Hearing that Brock handed him Ash's jacket which the staff member let his Arcanine get familiar with.

While he was getting familiar, he informed more about his colleagues who gathered a search team for Ash.

As a person went mission under their premises, it was their responsibility to look for him.

~Flap ~ Flap~

Sitting over the top of a large Charizard Aoki reached the excavation site.

"I wanted to leave early but forgot about time after going through the samples. Hope I am not too late "

From above, the entire view of the site was visible.

"Charizard land at the west end, I think I can see Misty there "

As Aoki got near, he could see trainers moving in a strange manner. Seeing this he had some idea as to what was happening.

His suspension became confirmed after talking to Misty.

"What is going on Misty?"

"You're back…..

Ash went missing you see so people are searching for him.

First, the staff members started searching, then the rest of the trainers joined in the search.

I think I will go search for him too.

And yes, that's Ash's Charmeleon, take care of him for a while". Misty said before moving towards the group.

Aoki noticed a Charmeleon from the corner of his eyes that was staring daggers at his Charizard.

"Oi Charizard, someone is staring at you "

Hearing Aoki's voice Charizard looked at the Charmeleon that he ignored till now.

As soon as Charizard made eye contact with the Charmeleon, he jumped at Charizard with Dragon Claw only to be slammed to the ground by Charizard's tail.

"What are you up to kid !? " Charizard gave Charmeleon a pissed-off stare.

"Who do you think are you trying to attack with your punny strength....do you have a death wish or something!

Huh! " Charizard gave a low roar.

'This must be Ash's Charmeleon, he has strong willpower but lacks discipline.

His claws are sharp but his muscles and scales are not so developed. It feels like this Pokemon never trained. ' Aoki concluded.

Seeing Chameleon's gesture, Aoki said "Don't injure him too much Charizard, he is someone else's property "

Charmeleon moved and used Flamethrower at Charizard but only to be greeted back with a flamethrower five times as large as his.

Heading to Aoki's command, Charizard used more flashiness and less power to only cancel out Chameleon's attack.

It felt like that was not enough as Charmeleon attacked again and this time in addition to slamming him back to the ground, Charizard put one of his feet over Charmeleon to not let him move.

Charmeleon was angry and confused. This Pokemon usually didn't care what happened, but when he saw someone of his kind, he wanted to prove his superiority.

But the confusing thing was why wasn't he able to land a single hit on this Pokemon. There was nothing more to it than it being bigger than him.

There were times when he trashed Pokemon several times larger than him on the journey but why was it different this time?

Charmeleon had no idea what elite-level Pokemons were capable of.

Due to Charizard's high level of energy control, his energy fluctuation was minimal making him seem like a weak opponent whose only plus point was his size.

It was at that moment, that a loud round rang out in every direction making everyone stop what they were doing.

Boom!!!!

A large explosion occurred at one of the caves followed by a black flash moving out of the cave.

As the light fell on the black thing, everyone present there grasped in shock, surprise, and amazement.

About three meters long grey body, hands attached with purple wings, legs with sharp claws, and a pointy tail.

A long mouth with multiple teeth and sharp eyes.

"Is that really what I am seeing or a hallucination…." a trainer muttered.

"You are not hallucinating…that really is what you are seeing..."

It was an Aerodactly holding a human with its legs.

None could believe that they were seeing an alive Aerodactyl in front of them.

Roar !!

The Aerodactle roared again bringing everyone out of their current state.

A feeling of suppression emerged from the Aerodactyl spreading all around making people's hearts beat faster.

Most of the Pokemon felt their movements getting stopped as they felt the threat of a predator which awoke their primal fear.

Charmeleon too sensed fear from within which made him even more frustrated.

'So some things will happen after all'

[Will you save him? ] Darkrai asked.

'Other people are there to save him.

As for the Aerodactyl...

I will wait till the end, I don't think anyone here is going to be taking down that Aerodactyl.

That thing is at the peak of elite rank…' Aoki said to Darkrai.

"Hey Charizard, found a new opponent for you"
