Beomgyu's pov
A month earlier…
I woke up at the persistent knocks against the front door of my single room apartment. I had to rub my eyes to force them to open because it feels like I haven't managed to sleep even an hour long and I was right.
Four minutes past midnight. I sighed deeply. My neck is aching from falling asleep on my desk while writing the last verse of the song I'll perform tomorrow with a guitar but I have no right to ignore.
"Good evening Gyu," the apartment's owner's daughter greeted as soon as our eyes met. "Sorry to bother you but I figured you must be hungry and have no time to eat."
I alternately looked at the petite, long-haired girl in front and the pizza box she's holding onto. It smells great and all but I really need sleep tonight.
"Mi-Young…"
"Don't worry, I just dropped by to make sure you're eating because everyone's worried about your health." She smiled and bid me goodbye before I could speak. I'm so relieved I didn't have to turn down her offer and I will or else she'll keep me busy for hours with her one sided conversation.
"Sorry," I scratched the back of my head and thanked her.
"Don't mention it."
I watched her back till she safely entered her apartment next to mine then I walked back to the wooden desk full of crumpled papers and threw them all away in the bin. Next, I placed the box of pizza over and ate a slice while checking the melody I wrote.
"Ah… fuck…" I cursed softly and slumped on my swivel chair. I've wasted so much time in completing a song alone due to the theme being all about Love and Relationships.
Which I haven't experienced yet so I got no idea how to complete the lyrics. Not because I'm picky. I just wanted to fall in love for real instead of playing on the other party's feelings and regret it for the rest of my life.
I stared on the white ceiling until my head felt like spinning. At first I thought it was partly because I was still sleepy, however, when I tried to approach my bed I didn't even get to grab ahold of it before everything went dark.
To be continued…
