IT'S ALL OVER

For a moment everywhere was silent. Even the wind seemed to still, as if holding its breath in anticipation. The words echoed in my mind, reverberating through every fiber of my being. I knelt there in the snow, frozen in time, my heart pounding in my chest. The world around me blurred as if a veil had been lifted revealing a truth that I never wanted to face. The weight of those words pressed down on me, threatening to crush me beneath their unbearable heaviness.

I stared at Arianne, silently daring her to look me in the eyes but she kept her eyes on Azar, her face filled with fear. She has said it, words that I never thought I'd hear, those three little words that shattered the fragile illusion of our perfect together.

"Break the bond." She had whispered, her voice quivering with a mixture of determination and sorrow. It was as if the ground had shifted beneath my feet, leaving me unsteady and disoriented.
