Investigation Plan

I looked at Hao, "Hao take them to the healing tree. They are all injured they need to recover."

Hao nodded.

I looked towards the three people who were sunk in sorrow, "I promise you all that I will make the killer pay for what he had done. As for now, you all should go with Hao. He will take you to the healing tree so, that your wounds could heal. In the meanwhile, I had to discuss something important with the leaders."

The young boy stood up, "Your Highness, I don't care about these wounds. I only want to fight beside you."

I sighed helplessly, "But if you are injured you won't be able to fight and I might also be defeated because of you getting more injured. If you want to do something then first recover."

There was a smile on his face, "So, it means you would let me become a guard."

I nodded, "After your wounds are healed, I will see your strength and let you get trained."

He looked happy. There was a determined look in his eyes. The three of them went away with Hao.

I walked toward the leaders. I stood there and looked at all of them. How could I be so careless? I asked myself. I looked at them.

"I had never expected that something like this might happen. It was all because of my carelessness. I was so lost in the matter of the evil spirits that I didn't notice other things. Anyways, we had to take some safety measures for the beasts. As for those who had suffered losses will surely get justice", I told them with a sigh.

The Dragon Leader spoke, "Your Highness, it is not your fault. It had been happening for centuries that whenever peace is brought among the beasts, it won't last long."

The White Wolf Leader sighed deeply, "Your Highness, he is right. It isn't your fault. You just need to command us. We will try our best to protect our people under your guidance."

The other Leaders nodded. I smiled at them.

"Thanks to all of you for trusting me. I won't disappoint any of you. I am recently working on the evil spirits. As for this matter, announce it to all the Magical Beasts to keep their guard up. Tell them to stay alert every second. Start the investigation. First of all, try to collect more information about the killer's appearance and the way he attacks. You are not supposed to miss even a single strand that might provide a hint. The places where the attacks happened, observe them very carefully. If in case, you feel that someone is in danger just send me a message telepathically", I told them.

They all nodded.

I then continued, "If there is any new clue or if someone is in danger just inform me at the moment. You no need to worry about time or anything else. Just inform me as soon as possible. I will also start an investigation myself but keep one thing in mind no one is supposed to know that you all are investigating the case. Just pretend as if you are scared of the happenings. Do it secretly and pretend to be weak. Understood?"

They all nodded.

The Phoenix Leader spoke, "Your Highness, just leave it to us. We will do as you say. We will try our best to bring you the results as soon as possible."

The others nodded to his words. I nodded to them, "Well, then be careful. Your priority must is the security of your family and your people."

After discussing the matter with them they left in a rush. I sat there on the chair and began to think. Something is not right. Why would the killer need dead bodies? I took the paper and pen from the table and began to draw a map of the present situation.

The killer uses wind magic. He is a male. He takes away dead bodies of beasts after killing them. The killer had killed four people each from a different Beast breed.

He first targeted the last Griffin Leader's disciple. Secondly, the White Wolf Leader's son. Thirdly, the last Dragon Leader, and fourthly the late Phoenix Leader's grandson.

He first killed them all and took them away. I was lost deep in thought.

"Mia", I heard Lin's voice.

I lift my head and saw him sitting on the chair next to me. I was so lost in thoughts that I didn't notice his presence.

I stared at him in shock, "When did you get here?"

He laughed, "You look very cute when you are working hard. I arrived almost a minute or two ago. I didn't want to disturb you so, I sat here silently."

I laughed at him, "You are the biggest sneaky wolf."

He laughed, "Thanks for the praise."

Both of us laughed together. I just forgot my problems and laughed happily with him just like a cheerful child. I always wanted such a childhood where I could laugh without any worries.

"By the way, Mia, are you going to leave the matter of the killer as it is?", he asked me with a sad look on his face.

I don't know whether to tell him about the situation or not.

I hesitated for a while and then at last spoke up, "Lin, you are my best friend ever but I can't tell you everything. I had already discussed the matter with the leaders."

"Mia, this is a dangerous matter. What if you get in some danger? Let me help you because I know you are not someone who will sit back and don't do anything while the people around her are being harmed", he said.

I sighed helplessly, "Didn't you hear that I had already discussed the matter with the leaders? There are some things that you shouldn't get yourself involved in. As for my safety then you don't need to worry about that. Instead, you should worry about yourself because you are among the beasts as well."

Lin stared at me, "Mia will you leave me alone if the killer attacks me?"
