I stood in front of the huge bookshelf filled with hundreds of books and scrolls.
"You can take any one you like." I heard a voice from behind.
The chilling voice was something I had been accustomed to in the past few months.
After our talk at the tea house, Orochimaru was so impressed with me that he decided to teach me and take me as his student. Neat.
The current Orochimaru was pretty chill. I mean he had yet to see any wars since the second war hadn't happened yet.
It was after the third war that Orochimaru would betray the village. So, the current Orochimaru was.. weird but not batshit insane.
And right now he was giving a gift for my birthday. How did he know that? Well he seemed very meticulous with who he wanted to keep as a disciple.
He probably checked my entire background before fixing that decision.
So anyways the shelf before me was a bunch of jutsu, some seals and a few books on seals.
Seals were useless to me since I didn't have the aptitude, I was tempted to pick a book on medical ninjutsu but they probably wouldn't be the best choice so, now I was left with two options.
One; Genjutsu. I wanted to learn some genjutsu this time since I ignored them in my previous life. So, the genjutsu in his hands should be really great for that.
Second; Ninjutsu. There were a vast collection of them here. Some of which were really great and could be a nice addition to my arsenal.
"Say.. Orochimaru sensei, Can I ask for something that isn't here?" I asked.
"Hm.." He looked at me. "I will think about it after you tell me."
Although there were alot of things here he wasn't careless enough to put forbidden jutsu here. And the one I wanted to learn was a forbidden jutsu.
I took a heavy breath and said, "Shadow clone.. Can you teach it to me?"
It sounds pretty stupid at first. That jutsu that Naruto went around spamming had nothing to do with chakra control and everything to do with chakra amount.
So, it would seem unreasonable for me to waste an opportunity like this by asking for a dangerous jutsu that I might never use. But…
There were many ways to increase the amount of pure chakra. Heck if nothing worked you could just seal a beast inside you and be done with it. Though I had a different plan in mind.
I looked at him expectantly.
"You never fail to intrigue me.. Izayo. Sure, Just for surpassing my expectations. I will teach it to you. And as a bonus, take another one of those scrolls." He narrowed his eyes and then had a sinister smile.
That always gives me shivers everytime I look at it.
"So.. anyways I'm late. See ya sensei." I bowed and left the premises. I was still attending the academy afterall.
~Scene Break~
As me and Minato were talking about random stuff, mostly about which is the best way to eat ramen. We heard the door creak open.
The teacher entered the class but beside her was a red haired girl who had a really curious look on her face.
The classroom erupted in chatter about the new mysterious girl. *Cough* *cough* the teacher coughed which silenced the class a bit and he said.
"Today we have a new student joining our class. Everyone welcome Kushina Uzumaki, Kushina introduce yourself." The teacher said.
"Hello, my name is Kushina Uzumaki and my dream is to be the next hokage." She greeted everyone with a shy smile.
"Yeah good luck tomato girl." A boy from behind sarcastically remarked.
The red haired girl turned red with embarrassment and then with rage. 'Tomato girl huh? Quite fitting now I look at it.' I thought but didn't say anything aloud.
After a stern talking to by the teacher everything went fine for the day.
Me and Minato were walking down the hallways for our taijutsu classes. It was our first practical test.
And it went… How you expected it to. Minato destroyed everyone with ease. I demolished the first opponent with such brutality that no one dared to challenge until it was me and Minato.
"Good luck." I said as I readied my stand. "You too, I won't hold back." He smiled.
And with a blow of the whistle the match began. Minato was the one who went on the offensive as I assumed a defensive stance.
*Thump* *Thump* *Thump* His punches were fast and precise. Though he was still inexperienced. His inexperience really shone through when I caught one of his wrists and instead of punching my hand to free his fist, he underestimated my speed and went straight for the face.
I pulled the caught hand slightly downwards which made him miss his punch and created an opening.
He tried to close that gap on his defences but it was too late. I slammed him by grabbing his nape. Then he was pinned to the ground.
"I surrender." He said.
After the clapping of some impressed classmates and teachers. We did the seal of reconciliation and stopped.
Yeah beating a bunch of kids was not hard, especially since everyone important was still one class above us.
After that event. I went to Orochimaru's house and then started learning how to make shadow clones. As for the second prize, I just chose a genjutsu which deprived the opponents of the sensation of touch for specific things. Neat.
Things continued like this for the next two years at this point Minato and I had somewhat of a reputation.
Minato was your typical paragon hero. While I was the one who was villainified for some reason. I wonder why.
Also the tensions between the nations were increasing it won't take long before another war erupted.
The second war was pretty inconsequential to my previous life. I was not even a genin for the majority of it and when I was promoted to a genin in the latter half of the war. I served as a safeguard to keep the trade routes opened up which wasn't hard since the majority of fighting happened in Amagakure.
I wonder what will happen this time. I mean I would surely be under Orochimaru's division since the hokage knew I was his disciple this time.
I shook my head of those thoughts as I walked towards my home aka Orochimaru's lair. You have no idea how glad I was to escape that orphanage.
It was quite late. Really quite late, I wanted to conduct some destructive experiments for my new Kekkei tota so I had went to my 'training grounds'. It was not ready yet, not even halfway there.
Even with Orochimaru's occasional help It was a really slow grind. Only now had it passed through the first phase I.e. knowing what the hell to do in the first place.
So, for my style. I had decided to combine the three natures like such:
First, I would use wind chakra to gather air(gas) in specific place then use fire chakra to heat up the gas and act as a catalyst for the next step i.e. using lightning chakra to ionize the gas so that it would be much more reactive and thus, do more damage.
You could say it was possible to do it without the fire chakra but it was much easier to ionize gas which was already excited with heat which made it possible in the first place.
Now it sounds more like a jutsu than an element but all kekkei genkai work on the same logic, you don't have to create earth and use water to grow a tree separately in wood style, it happens in the form of chakra reacting with each other.
That's why you get both mud release and wood release from mixing the water and earth chakra. The thing that matters most is logic.
So, with a set logic like that it was easier to create a kekkei genkai. Orochimaru called it the spiritual aspect of chakra, I call it Kishimoto's thought process. Seriously, how do you get wood without a seed?
Anyways, as I was taking a shortcut since like any other mad scientist, Orochimaru's place was hidden and unpragmatic. Seriously as smart as he is sometimes he is just unreasonable.
Sighing to myself I was stopped in my tracks when I saw a piece of red hair on the floor.
"..." I took the red hair and observed it.
"Ah.. I completely forgot about this event." I threw the hair in its previous place and followed the direction it was showing. I hope Minato's already there.
