Chapter 4 Feeling of an acquaintance

She guided her grandma to her room and gave her her drugs, she has been managing her heart disease for a long time now so she decided that it was time she made use of her skills to make money. Ava gave her some warm water to drink and then covered her with duvet while telling her that dinner will soon be ready.

Ava set to work immediately as she meticulously arranged, washed and chopped the vegetables she bought. She washed the meat and diced them into perfect sizes. The aroma from steaming the meat and fish gave her an air of a professional chef. She waltzed to the nearest cupboard and took out the necessary plates for dishing out the meals. She has contested before and won first place as an inter-continental chef. Although nobody saw her face because she used a mask, she can remember vividly how the professional chefs stood in awe of her cooking methods. Many big hotels and companies wanted to poach her and also give her leverages in addition to a huge salary and many other dividends.

She took her grandma's meal to her room and coaxed her into eating it so that she can take her drugs. May sat up with difficulty as her disease had reached a critical stage. She has been hiding it from Ava and pretended that all is well but the later has always had a suspicion hence she came up with the idea of seeing the doctor to give her a general check up.

After the dinner, Ava sat behind her computer and logged into their hackers forum. Everyone on the forum recieved signal that the once in a blue moon boss, code 001 is online. They sent in messages one after the other.

"Welcome boss code 001"

"Welcome our magnanimous boss"

" Welcome to our humble forum"

" Welcome, the king of the hackers world"

Ava's lips twitched, did they think she was a man. She imagined how shocked they will be if eventually she revealsnher identity because at the moment they all think she is a man. Her reply left them speechless

"Is there any job available at the moment?"

Their jaws dropped. " Your boss needs to make a living".

How can someone be so shameless, she is the boss afterall.

She could have given them a leeway but she instead outrightly ask for a job. Have mercy on them, they too need to make a living.

"Boss, there is a small job available at the moment, it's a little issue that doesn't require your majest's concern", the young man practically cried internally. He need the little job too. His username is "your father needs to make a living".

"En, I need those small jobs too. We should always take up little jobs, am just setting an example", she declared self righteously and snorted. Did they think she doesn't know what they are thinking and what they were up to?

The rest of the hackers on the forum had the urge to punch her but they could only think but couldn't act. How can someone be so shameless. Shameless! Shameless!!

"Boss, this is a top secret to outsiders but there is news making rounds that XM group of companies needs a reliable and unbeatable hacker to take up the building of thier security system and firewall. They pay can be discussed".

"Really?" Her eyes shone at the hearing of the news.

"Yes, yes, yes, it's from relaible source", replied a hacker whose username is danger zone.

"Ok, danger zone you will get the secured information for me within the next thirty minutes".

Ava hate dealing with shoddy people. It may be trap that's why she has to verify the source. She is capable of evading all traps in the hacking world and instead lay a trap for the opposition party. All the hackers in the forum did not lack a job to keep them behind the screen 24hours everyday. Their respect for code 001 grew when she successfully hacked into and breached the national security system firewall thereby cracking a case that was so difficult. They initially took months to crack only the first level of the security system but Ava took less than a hour to crack the case and breach their twenty levels of security under twenty minutes. They were shocked beyond words, hence they subconsciously regarded her as the guru and god of the hacker's world. That was a piece of cake for Ava though she would never admit it, she thought that it would be good to relish in their praises and admiration for a while. Tsk tsk tsk, so narcissistic.

In the quantum villa....

Xavier opened his private mail box exclusively meant for high profit end deals and it is security tight. He has never recieved any emails without any prior notification by his security system. Who would be so gutsy to directly send him a mail?

He opens the mail box and found a few words or rather a command. " Need a security right firewall and impenetrable security system? Meet me at this club.... She put down the name of the club and time. "Failure to come, your entire security system will collapse the next 24hrs". Xavier felt indignant on reading the last part of the mail. He gave some instructions to his subordinates to check out the area around the club for suspicious activities and report same. Thirty minutes to that time, he got ready and dressed in a simple t-shirt and denim trousers with a face cap. He wanted to keep a low profile. Ava has arrived at the club an hour to the appointed time, she made use of the restroom to change her appearance. She crossed dressed as a gangster, applied a little bit of dark eyeliner to hide her beautiful eyes. She was sure the eyes can never deceive as it's the easiest way to recognize someone. She made her way out of the restroom and bumped into a lady who let out a scream, "what the hell are you doing in the female's restroom?" Ava did not panick but instead flicked her short hair and gave her a charming smile, she closed in on the lady and whispered some seductive words to her. The former was caught up and did not realize she was used as a cover up. She blushed heavily, this must be a gigglo and a handsome one at that, she thought.

She began to anticipate how their entire night will look like, drooling over his charming face which will be the death of her, she whispered her room number to Ava who grabbed her butts and slapped it lightly, the other party giggled naughtily.

"I got to go arrange for our night", Ava looked at her wrist watch. The lady giggled and wanted to start their night right away. "Sigh, what clingy thing"

"Let me get us what I drink and you will just have to wait for me in the room"

"Okay, I will wait for you handsome, she drew an imaginary line on his chest and reluctantly let her go.

Scrunched up her face in disgust as the later went away, she released a breath and looked around as few strippers glanced at him and bat their fake eyelashes. She threw them a non committed look and strode away.

Xavier kept tapping his feet impatiently as he kept checking his time, from the looks of it he feels as if he has been scammed. Just as he was about to walk out, the door burst open and a small looking youngman came into the room. He had reserved the private room in advance just for privacy sake.

"Sorry to keep Mr CEO waiting", Ava deliberately made her voice sound a bit like a man.

Xavier siezed the other party up and ignored the sacasm in his greetings. "Get straight to the point, I am a busy man"

" Of course, of course, I know but treat this as a business deal".

Xavier was about to flare up in anger but he decided to calm down.

"I can build a security system for your company also I can be running a check on it regularly. Thus, it's firewall will be one of it's kind as it can never be breached", raised her fake eyebrows arrogantly.

Xavier kept assessing the youngman in front of him and he recalled a certain someone raised her brows arrogantly in the same manner. He found this man's aura and manners a bit familiar. He nodded as he scoffed in disbelief, "then you have to show me what you are capable of".

Ava took out her phone cum palmtop computer and typed in a few lines of code, after sometime his phone's message tone went off. He checked his mail box and what he saw took him aback as he looked at her in a new light.

"So are we good to go now?" Ava smirked.

He kept having feeling that the young man infront of him was giving of feeling of both a stranger and an acquaintance. The way her fingers flew off the keyboard with ease, even the slim and beautiful fingers made him look.asnif he is androgynous man. He shook his head to clear his thoughts.

"I will give you a chance to prove yourself in 48hrs starting from tommorow"

" We must talk about the payment"

" That's after I see your work and it has passed the tests", he stood up and walked out without giving him a chance to talk.

"Sigh, forget it. Such arrogant man". She made sure he has actually gone from the club before she proceeded to change her dressing.

In the car.....

Xavier made a call to his subordinate, "Check the identity of this person for me, also get me the footage of this room number", he rattled off the room number.

At the other end, Ava smiled as she listened to the audio play. This will be a great fun. It's been such a long time since she had such a fun filled day.

"Aha, let's see what we have here", she deliberately released her information to them.

In the next few minutes Xavier recieved a call.

"Sir, I have recieved this information but it's highly confidential. This person goes by the name code 001. He is the best hacker in the whole world, sources claim that he is unbeatable in terms of his capability", the subordinate's voice shook due to over excitement.

"Earlier, we couldn't invite him to work for us because he is always on a low key and doesn't accept jobs even from big companies".

Xavier ended the call and pondered over the report, does this person have an ulterior motive? Well he has to sign a non disclosure agreement immediately he comes over to the headquarters tomorrow.

He sighed as he rubbed his tired looking eyes.
