New System Feature

Ian, the mage, was reluctant, but he had no choice. Draven defeated them all, and he could end their lives if Ian didn't do as he was told. By the time the lazy sun descended into the horizon, leaving way for the darkness to envelop the world, Draven had become the master of all justice force. Draven could feel the life forces of each individual in the justice force. If he wanted, he could kill them with just a snap of his finger.

The people of Sinith stared at Draven with horrified looks on their faces. They couldn't figure out whether to feel safe or scared. Draven slowly strolled toward Ian and looked him in the eyes.

"If I see them once again, they'll be six feet under," said Draven before opening his wings.

But before flapping his wings to leave the area, he looked around the people of Sinith.

"Don't expect a superhero to fight for you. No one will come to your aid but yourself. Cleaning up the rest of the mercenaries is up to you," Draven flapped his wings and flew straight into the air. He stared around the kingdom for a moment before flying into the clouds, leaving the people of Sinith speechless. Ian watched Draven's figure disappear and became lost in thoughts. The resolve and vengeance Ian noticed in the young man's eyes were far greater than their superpowers. As a veteran, Ian had seen countless gifted ones in his life. But none of them had such willpower as the young man. Furthermore, there was no fear of death in his eyes. In fact, they were void of any emotions except anger and vengeance. Although Ian had to cast a soul-binding spell on his teammates, he was glad they were still alive.

"He is going to change the world forever," Ian mumbled under his breath after the young man completely disappeared from his sight. Then, he waved his hand as a golden light enveloped all his teammates.

After leaving Sinith, Draven returned to the sword and met Sarah. Now that they were away from prying eyes, Margoth revealed himself as he appeared above Draven's shoulder. Margoth frowned when he saw the dark lines on Sarah's forehead.

"Draven," Sarah slowly started.

"I may have found some clues about Moonblade,"

As Draven heard the name Moonblade, killing intent exploded around him. His eyes began to glow like someone had lit a fire within them. Sarah noticed Draven's hands trembling as his eyes turned red. Draven walked toward the table where he put swords and weapons he looted from his dead enemies. Above the table was a wall with several small portraits. One of the portraits depicted a man wearing a white hood and robes with the head of a cheetah engraved on the chest. He was one of the supervillains who ambushed Draven and slaughtered his family in front of his eyes. As much as Draven liked to rip them to shreds, he knew he still wasn't powerful enough to face them. Now that he had quite an arsenal of powers and a magical system, he was confident facing Moonblade. Unfortunately, Moonblade was a tricky supervillain to find. In fact, he was one of the hardest supervillains to locate. Even UFH had no way of locating him. Otherwise, they would have put him behind bars by now.

"I did some digging and found that UFH has sent one of their agents to Littlerock academy undercover. According to the documents I managed to steal from the servers, UFH sent this agent in undercover to protect the identities of some students,"

"I didn't get it. What do you mean protect the identities?" Margoth questioned Sarah.

"Some of the students in the academy might be superheroes in the making. The UFH wants to protect these kids,"

"Protect from what?" asked Margoth.

"The Moonblade," Draven answered Margoth. Since Draven was no stranger to the Moonblade, he knew how Moonblade operated. He was a mercenary in and out.

"Hmm," Sarah nodded.

"It seems like those students managed to piss off some pretty powerful people when they played superheroes. The UFH suspects that someone has put a hit on the superheroes. This is where it gets tricky," Sarah took a step forward and leaned back on the wall, looking at Draven.

"Somehow, whoever put the hit on them learned that these gifted kids go to Littlerock academy during the daytime. Only UFH possesses this kind of information about a gifted one. So I think there is a leak inside the UFH, and they wanted to find out who that is while keeping the students safe,"

Margoth processed everything he heard from Sarah in silence before he questioned them again.

"So, where does this Moonblade come into the picture?"

Unlike Sarah and Draven, Margoth didn't know much about UFH and supervillains. So he turned his head toward Draven for answers.

"When you do not know the real identities of a superhero, and you can't take them down when they are at their strongest, you send Moonblade to learn their true identities and take them down when they are at their weakest," Draven's hands trembled as he clenched the table as tight as he could.

"If I am right, Moonblade has already infiltrated the academy and become one of the staff or students. No one has ever seen his real face. It gives him the advantage of being whoever he wants," said Draven as he took a dagger from the table and stabbed the portrait.

"To catch a predator, we have to be the prey," Draven's eyes glistened with killing intent. Sarah almost forgot everything Draven had done in Sinith, thinking of the Moonblade and the history between him and Draven. She couldn't help blaming herself for what had happened to Draven's family. As far as Draven thought, Moonblade played a huge role in unveiling his identity when he was the angel of lotus. But the real truth was Sarah played an even bigger role in unmasking Draven which led to the massacre of his family.

"Get me into the Littlerock Academy. Can you do that?" asked Draven. His words snapped Sarah back to reality.

"You have something to share Sarah?" Margoth questioned Sarah before she could answer Draven.

"You seem like you have something to tell us," Margoth said. Margoth might not know about UFH and this world, but he knew about people. When Margoth looked Sarah in the eyes, he felt like she was hiding something. He just couldn't figure out what.

It took Sarah a few seconds to quickly come up with an answer to keep Margoth off her back. As far as she was concerned, Margoth threatened her life with Draven more than Draven himself. He was too consumed with vengeance and anger to suspect her. However, Margoth had a clear evil conscience, which made him suspect everyone.

"It's just we have to piggyback the server in Littlerock to get you into the academy. It won't be easy,"

"We are heading to Littlerock. Just tell me where the academy's server station is," Draven simply said.

"I'll get to it," Sarah quickly left Draven's worktable and went to the cockpit to set the course for Littlerock.

[The host has earned 200 Legend Points]

[The host has earned 400 Legend Points]

Just as Margoth was about to tell his suspicions about Sarah to Draven, he heard the system notification continuously ringing in his head. It was apparent to Draven that his deeds in Sinith were slowly spreading throughout the kingdom. As a result, the Legend points rapidly increased in the system. Draven quickly summoned the system to see his status before heading to Littlerock.

Host: Draven Zane

To increase the power limit: 6000 Soul energy is needed.

Bases of Operation: The Sword

At that moment, Soul energy seemed like a bigger deal than the legendary points to Margoth and Draven. However, Draven had a feeling these points could save his life and change the tide of his war against his enemies. Draven willed the system to open the system store but only saw typical stuff like swords, knives, bows, arrows, and berserker pills.

[The host can unlock special armor upgrades for ten thousand legendary points] Draven saw icy blue words appear before his eyes.

"This thing creeps me out, Draven," said Margoth, surprising Draven.

"You can see them?" asked Draven.

"Yes. Until now, I only heard its voice. But now it seems like I can see everything you see," said Margoth.

"Hey, system. What the fuck are you?" Margoth shouted at the system. But the system gave him no answer. He shouted at it several times until he grew tired of the silent treatment.

"I want to unlock the armor upgrades," said Draven after Margoth grew tired of shouting. Honestly, Draven was unhappy about sharing the system with Margoth. Unfortunately, he had no choice. It seemed like Margoth was a part of the system, or the system was a part of him. He depended on Margoth to absorb the souls and turn them into soul energy. Without Margoth, he wouldn't be able to acquire new powers. That alone was worth sharing the system with the ancient god despite his short temper and hunger for more souls.

After the legendary points were reduced to twenty thousand, another tab appeared next to the system store. Draven focused on the new tab named armor upgrades as a new window popped up in his sight.

[Congratulations. The host has unlocked the blueprint for the shoulder cannon]

[The Fire manipulator could be integrated with the cannon to fire a plume of flames up to five meters]

[Certain powers could take advantage of the shoulder cannon with slight modifications]

"Wait a minute. How do you expect us to build something with a blueprint? Just give us the damn cannon," Margoth snickered.

"We know someone who could build it for us, Margoth," said Draven.
