Ariana’s Pregnancy

The atmosphere in the examination room is suddenly quiet. The doctor is busy preparing himself while Ariana chooses to control her breathing and her heartbeat which is beating fast due to fear. Of course she tenses, pregnancy isn't what she wants right now. Ariana's eyes blink as a nurse helps to roll up her blouse and apply a thick clear gel. The fluid serves to help the ultrasound device move agilely over her stomach.

"Okay, let's see." The doctor sits down and starts the examination procedure.

Ariana swallows her saliva heavily. Her heart is pounding again. In her heart Ariana continues to pray that she will not get pregnant. She can not bear child other than the descendants of Aldebaran.

"How's it going, Doc?" Ariana asks.
