"H-how many?" My weary legs were barely holding me up as Ren approached me.

"Two-hundred and sixty-three," she replied bitterly.

Unable to keep upright any longer, I collapsed to the floor, uncaring for the many eyes watching me. 

For hours I'd raced from each explosive to the other, using System to strengthen my body to its limit. It still had not been enough. At Dawn, the deafening sounds of explosions and screams were still haunting me now. 

Felix had been the one to drag me to the Emperor's private audience room.

"Who?" 

"All civilians on the outskirts," she replied, crouching down to massage my legs.

"T-this is all, all my fault," my body began to tremble out of my control. System, though weary, was flooding me with warmth internally for reassurance, but it wasn't enough.

These were all innocent people. Young or old, not a single one spared in that madman's revenge against me. 

Should I just leave this world?
