The Attacked

Listening to Violet's explanation, Victor pondered for a while. Then he spoke, "Are you sure to gamble for these people? Remember that they attempted to kill you. Please, listen to me, Violet… If you want to deal with them, just let Allen solve it for you." 

Violet was stunned for a brief moment. She stared at Victor with complicated emotion. She thought, 'No wonder this guy sided with Allen. He is working with Uncle Shun. It's no surprise if he will contradict my plans.' 

She didn't expect that Victor would actually speak up in favor of Allen. Suddenly, she felt helpless and realized she relied on Allen most of the time because of the resources he could provide her. 

Although she is paying for his service, she must admit that her privilege is not only due to their two families having great relationships and connections in many aspects, such as in the business world, but because of Allen himself.
