Pop kept on glancing at me as she drove. I can tell she wanted to ask more, but she kept her mouth shut.
The moment she parked the car, I exited the car and headed into the building.
"Where is Pop? I thought she went with you?"
"Thor is Sly."
"What?" Her eyes widened.
"You don't have to act surprised. I already know you know. Sly told me everything."
"Listen, Lee. It was—"
"You don't have to explain anything, I understand."
I tried to walk past her, but she stopped me.
"You don't have to blame Sly. He's not the one at fault. I know he must have told you he was the one who got the idea. But that's not true. I was the one who brought the idea."
"Why are you telling me this now? Why didn't you tell me earlier before I discovered this?"
"I want you to know Sly wasn't willing to do what I suggested. For months, he kept on rejecting the idea, until he gave in.
