Joshua made his way back downstairs after he finished his business in the bath. Timothy was waiting for him and had the servants all lined up.
"Sir, seeing as we will all be working for you, I thought it best if we introduce ourselves." Timothy said. "I am Timothy Stockholm, head servant of this household under the former mistress. I can promise that if you leave me in charge, you will have an ordered and well-run house."
"Thank you, Timothy." Joshua said. "But remember you are employees now. Not servants."
"Beg your pardon lord, but is there really such a difference?" Timothy asked. "Sure, you will provide us with money, a lot more than we deserve honestly, but we are still doing whatever you say and attempting to satisfy your every whim. So why do you protest? Can a servant not be paid?"
"I see." Joshua said. "I am sorry for my naivety."
"You are a knight, Lord Joshua." Timothy said. "You should never apologize to your help."
"Sorry." Joshua said.
