The Shenia pushed off from the top of the statue towards Gus, drawing two short daggers as it did so. The outside shape of the daggers was wavy, and the tip was extremely sharp.

As it came into the light, Gus saw that this Shenia in particular was wearing a dark blue set of armour, covering its body, forearms, lower legs, and the entirety of his head. It also had the blade on its tail that Gus had seen some Shenia have, but this one looked far more threatening than the others, as if this one was made by a master blacksmith while the others were made by amateurs.

It was fast, faster than any of the Shenia that he had encountered on this world. It was striking Gus before he was even ready, and Gus could barely react in time. He stepped back and turned his body, raising his sword to block the blow from the daggers that the Shenia wielded.
