Chapter 89 - Tower of Heaven

The sun was beating down on a young man who was shirtless, his physique showing the lines of his muscles and had long spiky hair giving a strong wild look wearing summer shorts. This was none other than Caelum who finished grilling some skewer and joined the others in the fun. After training nonstop, it is also important to find time to relax since life is at a time that doesn't need to be rushed and should be appreciated every passing moment. 

Caelum watched as his children built a sand castle with Lily and Vanica while his two eldest daughters were having friendly competition in swimming. He chuckled seeing the two go and went to join their mothers laying down a chair with an umbrella blocking the sun drinking some alcohol. He handed the skewers to them as they quickly took a bite. Mereoleona ate a piece and chugged a cold beer. 

"Ah~! That just hits the spot!!"

She exclaimed, giving a refreshing sound with Vanessa backing her up drinking her own bottle of ale. Caelum shook his head since the two are heavy drinkers even before becoming a dragon. For those who forgot, he had taught them a slayer that was a mixture of Devil, God and Dragon making a Devil Dragon God slayer capable of causing damage to all four of them. Though, most of his girls either acquired God, Dragon or a Devil slayer style since they didn't have limitless affinity like Caelum does. 

Noelle, Mimosa, Lily and Charlotte were God Slayers mages applying them in their own magic while Secre and Vanica had Devil Slayer magic. This obviously didn't sit well with Vanica who previously was influenced by one but Caelum reassured her that it was the opposite and was for slaying devil's which gave some comfort. 

Though, She has a tendency to act crazy and bipolar, that's just how she is.  Only Mereoleona and Vanessa were compatible with Dragon Slayer magic. Mavis on the other hand disliked fighting and didn't practice the style focusing more on learning and researching.

Vanessa handed some to Caelum who smiled and grabbed the bottle chugging it. He decided to  sit next to them for the time being to relax laying on the chair next to Irene and Selene. The two women move leaving a chair in between that makes him smile and lay on the chair while the two proceed to get closer and place their body into his chest. 

"I'm glad you took us here. It's quite pleasant to have a break from all the work."

Irene said sharing her dislike of how obsessed Caelum is at times in getting stronger. Even though she understood it doesn't mean she likes it. 

"Let him be, Irene. It's not like he missed a day with us. And when he does, Caelum always compensates. Not to mention, time is a trivial thing for us."

Selene, still having the mentality of a dragon , gave her opinion. Caelum got in between telling them both a great point and took each of them into consideration. He closed his for a brief moment just sunbathing until something moved above his shorts opening his eyes to see Vanessa smirking while Caelum shook his head.

"Vanessa, don't. This isn't the place for us to have some 'fun' when the kids are around."

"I know, I'm just like teasing your little brother."

She shook her hips a bit, grinding herself on his girth while giving a smiling teasing smile at him, however, she quickly Yelp when Caelum slapped her ass.

"If you continue then expect a rough restless night where you won't be able to walk for quite some time."

His touch made her body tense up slightly, regretting in trying to tease him and becoming flustered while the other girls beside him giggled. After a few minutes, Vanessa got off and went for a swim letting Caelum join his children, mostly his son in making the sand castle. They may not be battle oriented and were still genius in other aspects. He wasn't disappointed and loved each and every last one of them. Equally? No, Caelum would still be biased but he won't neglect any of them. 

Caelum finished playing with them and went deep in the ocean since this is one of the few things he was good at before acquiring limitless potential and affinity from his wish. He enjoyed the time where his body clashed against the current and at that moment something seemed to click as he continued to swim where his mind thought of something. 

He didn't try to used the opportunity to cultivate what he realize and took a moment to open his eyes to see that he got too far and immediately swam back where Lily asked what just happened.

"You suddenly swam too far and it made us worried."

"It's nothing, I just realized something."

Reassuring her nothing had happened and changed the subject asking her if he joined her which she happily accepted. Caelum flushed some water with them and played with his children, teaching some of them to swim. They played some volleyball placing a seal to avoid destroying the whole beach and watched them fight. Caelum didn't join since he would just end up winning and acted as referee the same with Cereza since it won't be even if she joins. His wives made bets on who will spend the next week's with him. 

"Wow, I feel so used…"

He acted like he was hurt only for Mereoleona to shout telling him to suck it up and be ready when she wins, making the other team burn with determination to win. Caelum sighed seeing that their game would be disastrous and watched as their games heated while their children were cheering their respected mother where only Ajest gave her silent cheer to her mother who understood it quite well.

In the end, Noelle, Irene, Mimosa, Secre and Vanica won the game and barely won. The girls were all disappointed that they couldn't win.

"Caelum, we lost!"

Vanessa didn't mind losing because she took the opportunity to get pampered by Caelum to comfort her, making the winning teams to stare at her intently. She saw this smirking and stuck her tongue like a child to make them jealous. Caelum shook his head and after a while, everyone continued their own agenda partying and drinking.

The next day, everyone returns home with Caelum telling them that he still has things to take care of. Having freshened up and bonded with him they decided to let him except for Charlotte and Mereoleona who was curious as asked where he was going.

"I was planning on checking a place to see if it exists. Like I said things that should have been changed by me and curious if that place exists."

Caelum further explains in regards to the Tower of Heaven and sees if the children would be there. He hoped to take them under his wing and let them join the fairy tail before things went to how the timeline should be.

"How vile, a cult of mad men. Didn't you mention Zeref to be the man cursed by that god?"

He is aware of Zeref since his a major part in Irene's sacred fate. Caelum didn't plan on befriending him nor help whatever his goals are. However, things had changed and planned on doing certain events in hopes of stopping tragedy from happening. He doesn't have the greatest memory since some information is locked. 

Charlotte felt disgusted hearing the information from her husband while Mereoleona struck her palm and smirk burned in excitement.

"So, when will we raise the place to the ground?"

Caelum smiled telling her that they are going right now and told that he planned on taking information to blackmail the magic council since seeing that they have started to become hostile is best to make them face their mistake by letting the people know how vile they can be. He was only doing this because he was too busy and hadn't gotten any information regarding the location but now he decided to head there. He decided to bring the two as they headed towards the location. 

Using a portal they arrive at their destination and Caelum frowns while the two are astonished seeing the enormous tower and look below sensing weak signals of life inside. Mereoleona was ready to take action but stopped by Caelum gesturing for them to investigate first and see things for them.

After making themselves invisible, they glided onto the beach and made their way towards the tower where it was worse than they thought, passing through a few people in cultist outfit who went to find the prisoner and saw something worse. The children were bruised and malnourished, finding children that Caelum recognized as Mellianna, Sorano, Yukino and Kagura along with Simon, Wally, etc. 

They just arrived where a cultist was grabbing Sorano to work despite barely being conscious after being sick. The children were shaking in fear while Yukino tried desperately to stop them.

"No, my sister is sick! She can't work anymore!"

"Shut it kid! The reason you are all alive is because Zeref-sama wills it! If she is sick then it is better to just dispose of her then!?"

"No!!!"

Yukino screamed out while the man was about to use magic to finish off Sorano only then did Caelum tap him in the shoulder making the cultist stop.

"Who-"

"Penances curse."

In a simple phrase, Caelum used his innate skill as a demon and made him feel all the since he inflicted where the more he relished the more painful it was. He thrashed around the ground screaming in agony where every passing moment felt like an eternity and was grabbed by Caelum by the neck before erasing his existence. 

He looked at the children where Charlotte immediately tried to help them using her magic to heal all of them while Mereoleona asked if she could let loose.

"Just make the damages minimal since there might be more prisoners."

"Got yah! I'm all fired up!"

'Hey that's natsu's line!'

He inwardly thought letting the wild lioness hunt her prey turn his attention to the children. They still scared at everything that happened and quickly gave them an reassuring smile.

"No need to be afraid, we're from the fairy tail guild."

"Fairy tail!? Is it the same that old man Rob told us about?"

Caelum saw that it was Kagura that asked, making him nodded and asked where Rob was, making everyone feel bitter.

"It was them! They hurt Old Man Rob! The bad people!"

Millianna shouted in anger, feeling furious seeing how Rob died from their hands receiving a pat in the head that seemed to make her purr. 

"You all have been very brave for this long. Don't worry because I am here."

"What's your name, Onii-chan? Will my Onee-san be alright!? She's the only one I have, mama and papa, who is gone now."

Yukino asked desperately and crying as she had thought that she was going to lose the only surviving family she has. Caelum can revive their parents later once every settled down but it might cause problems since he is unsure how the one cursing him would do to those souls. For now he'll take care of them.

"I am Caelum Mercer but you can call me Caelum or brother Caelum and yes your sister is safe."

"All of you can relax as my husband is going to take care of everything, right dear?"

Charlotte reassured the children giving the look telling him that she'll handle them and heard an explosion in the distance. Caelum nodded telling them to follow him and went outside to find the cultists were surrounding the place and Mereoleona was decimating everyone. Few stared at Caelum and prepared to cast spells blasting every spell towards them making the children shield their eyes thinking that they'll die only to see their savior hold out his hands absorbing their magic. 

The cultists were baffled upon seeing the monster before them where his golden eyes shine through the shadow casting over his face.

"My turn."
