Let Him Be

"Commander, Vicus said that he will wait until you are willing to see him," Gadis informed Commander Eloria while standing in front of the closed doors. "He is kneeling in front of the gate."

Once again, there was no response but as Gadis had a feeling that Commander Eloria heard everything, he walked away without repeating himself.

Still alone inside the room, Eloria was slowly back to her sense and was in the process of freeing herself from her clouded mind. Though the pain on the inside was still there, she managed to concentrate again. Maybe the alone time paid off like it was often in her case.

Nevertheless, she had no intention to meet Vicus no matter what he did.

Taking her time, she continued sitting on the floor for a while more and then finally glanced around. Through the places where sunrays entered her chamber, she could tell that it was already afternoon.

She had really sat like that for several hours!
