The First Space War -1

-------Flashback--------

Whitehall POV

As soon as I saw the video feed of Fury and others capturing my soldiers, I knew I had to run.

"No More. I won't run anymore. I have spent my entire life running. Let them come and face the god!" I roared and got myself into my experiment chamber.

I had already put all the systems in auto mode and I connected myself to the various tubes. Calming my heart and taking a deep breath, I watched as the blue solution entered my body and a strong pain hit my nerves.

"Fuuuuccccckkkk!" It was beyond painful and I know pain. This was killing me. "Why? What did I miss?"

I keep thinking these things before I felt my eyes becoming heavy and I am feeling drowsy. I knew I was losing oxygen and probably going in shock.

"Just at the last step! I lost!!" These were the last thoughts in my head before I lost consciousness.

---------

The chamber was releasing sparks and all the systems were showing 'ABORT', 'ABORT'... but other scientists had no idea what to do. They cut off the power but the machine was still running and now the chamber was glowing like a red hot balloon.

"This is going to explode. We must leave!" Someone said from the group of scientists and they knew it was the truth.

Without any more useless dialogue, they tried to run for the exit but then they were already late.

"BOOOOMMMMM!" The machine exploded like a small missile went off and the oil, hidden deeply under their base created a secondary and more horrific explosion next burning the last Hydra completely.

The guards who were in other rooms or Inhumans captured from Afterlife never even knew what hit them. One moment they were all thinking about their lives and the next moment, they were all gone.

Out of all the things that Hydra agents managed to bring from the afterlife, was an alien Kree Orb. This was a beacon created by the Kree to broadcast an emergency signal to Kree Reapers orbiting the Earth's solar system. The orb was intended as a last resort to call for reinforcements should their Inhuman creations rebel against them.

The explosion and energy released from the explosion activated it and upon getting the transmitting signal from the Kree temple, it sent a coded message. After a few seconds, it closed itself entirely.

No one saw this and no one noticed this strange anomaly.

-----------

On the moon, in the home of the Inhumans empire, Black Bolt was sitting on his throne talking to the genetic council, when all the symbols behind his throne lit up in bright light.

A satellite was hovering in our solar system. Unlike any human satellite, this was the base of the Kree Reapers who kept themselves in stasis and spent thousands of years orbiting the solar system. They were the rogue group of Kree soldiers and scientists who were responsible for the creation of Inhumans and kept the orb there in case one day, this experiment threatened their very empire.

So, they waited and slept for thousands of years only to be awakened now.

-------------

Phil watched as Fury came back with Gordon and they threw fingernail size cubes in the air that became a small glacier upon being hit by Pym's gun and then used the same thing on a small packet of sand that came out as a large sand dune. The water and sand together managed to put out the fire.

Three hours later, six teams of knights managed to bring out everything they could find from the burned facility, including the orb that was undamaged. However, it didn't attract attention due to a large number of dead bodies and other items that were too many to count.

"I am sorry Gordon. I don't know what happened but I am sorry we couldn't save these people." Phil tried to comfort Gordon who was on verge of mental breakdown feeling all the dead bodies of fellow Inhumans around.

Gordon could not cry because of his transformation where he lost his eyes. He kept crying louder and louder and beating his chest or slapping his face. The large scale death of his fellow compatriots broke him. It was not the death, it was the hope of the rescue and the horrific failure. He felt he let them down, twice.

No one had any idea how to calm him but Matt came forward. Matt was always the most sensitive one thanks to his ability and unlike others, he could hear the beating of his heart, the escalated pitch in his voice and all those small details that gave him the idea of his pain.

"There are others," Matt whispered to the frantic Gordon.

"WHAAATTTT?" Gordon snapped back.

"Others who are alive and need your guidance. Others like an old man, who believes you will stand up for them, protect them and make sure his granddaughter has a better life than him. Others out there in the crowd living like humans, never knowing their identity and maybe being experimented upon or getting captured by another crazy maniac.

Others who are hunting you and your group and others who may need you to keep a calm head.

I am sorry we couldn't save these people but you must not blame yourself. There are others."

Matt gave a short emotional speech to Gordon in a low whispering voice.

"I know. I know all that. But still, why, why is this pain not going away?" Gordon clenched his fists and punched on the ground heavily. Standing back, he teleported himself back to the clinic where he left Jiaying.

However what he 'saw' infuriated him. A small squad was firing at the enraged Doctor Zabo. Husband of Jiaying who had been looking for their daughter and would sometimes work as a doctor in an area to earn some money before moving to the next place.

Feeling like a bomb going off in his mind, Gordon moved towards the attackers.

"Swish!"

"AAHH!"

"Rippp"

Holding one single knife in his hands and moving like a ghost among the soldiers, he ended their lives in seconds. Throats cut, Knife through their eyes or hearts and blood spilled out in open. Maybe it was the feeling of hot blood on his face that finally brought some peace inside him.

Dragging physically and emotionally tired bodY, Gordon went inside the clinic where he could detect the presence of Jiaying.

Cal Zabo, losing his enemies also calmed down and ran back straight into their clinic.

Jiaying had just gone through a very complicated heart surgery and needed rest but due to the attacks on this place, Zabo moved her unconscious body behind a large iron container that protected her. Somehow this saved her life in this attack and Gordon after such an emotional roller coaster day, felt that the gods have not given up on him.

"We need to move. I will bring her and you to a new place we found. It is safe. Safe for now at least!" Gordon knew Zabo was standing behind him when he was near Jaiying's body and spoke.

"I can't leave. Not now. My daughter, my Daisy is still out there. She needs me. You take her back. Tell her I still love her. I will always love her. And one day I will bring our Daisy back and come for her." Zabo spoke and without saying anything, he picked a small travel bag and left the clinic without looking back.

Gordon gave a final look at the broken man and then teleported with Jiaying to the Shadow Isles.
