Preliminaries II

The following fights developed just like canon Shino Aburame VS Zaku Abumi, Misumi Tsurugi VS Kankuro, Sakura Haruno VS Ino Yamanaka aka as the most boring and disappointing fight of the preliminaries, I like Ino, but for real, both Ino and Sakura were lacking in strength and resistance at this point, the only reason the fight lasted this long was just stubbornness, their Taijutsu was disappointing to the point of being just some basic level punches and kicks, Sakura made Ino mad about her not having the same resolution to fight, Ino took out a kunai grabbing her hair and was about to cut it.

"NO!" I yelled like if my life depended on it, "I LIKE YOUR LONG HAIR!" Making Ino snap out of her rage, returning to her senses, everyone else the Hokage and proctors included just turned their attention to me, judging from the distance, Naruto laughing at me and Guy-Sensei patting me on the back, trying to be a moral support, mumbling something about my YOUTH.

Nothing of interest happened, until Ino had Sakura against the ropes with her Mind Transfer Jutsu, this time she didn't have her hair as a cover for the Chakra tread, she used a different strategy focusing her attacks on Sakura's leg hindering her speed until she was confident she wouldn't miss her special Jutsu, and then she made the mistake of taking her time, giving Sakura the chance to break from her control after Naruto's distraction, just to end the fight with a draw, I need to spend some time with Ino, in a non-romantic way, to make sure she improves a bit.

After Asuma-Sensei and Kakashi-Sensei took the unconscious pair, Hayate gave the signal for a new selection draw, this time the board said Kenji Yūhi VS Temari, finally my turn, it seems I took Tenten's place even in the way the fights were supposed to happen, but this time the result will be different, I refuse to lose to her, Temari took the stairs descending to the improvised arena, I waited for her to reach her position, asking Guy-Sensei for permission to go all out, I jumped from the second floor to the ground level, landing in front of her, waiting for the signal to start the fight.

"Do your best Kenji" Lee yelled, moving his arms in the air, Guy-Sensei smiling and Neji giving me a stealthy thumbs up with his arms crossed, I stayed in a relaxed position not entering a true battle stance.

"Kenji, use the power of YOUTH!" Guy-Sensei and Lee said in unison, yelling louder and louder each time, Naruto was covering his ears, annoyed by the noising pair, making me chuckle.

"Can you concentrate in the fight?" Temari said mad at my attitude, I just shrugged my shoulders, dismissing her comments "I will make you pay for underestimating me" she added with a friendless face looking directly into my eyes, I jumped backwards throwing some senbons at her direction, she smiled confident in being able to deflect them with her jutsu, the senbons, landed around her "Is that all you have? You are really weak" she said in arrogance.

"The fight is already over" I said, turning around to face my aunt who was standing with her Team, leaving a shocked crowd and an even more shocked Temari in the arena.

"What are you talking about? Are you giving up? Is this all Konoha has to offer?" she said mocking me, until this point neither her nor the others noticed my actions, it was a little experiment but is good to know that it works better than I expected.

"She needs medical assistance" I said, snapping my fingers, bringing an end to the Genjutsu I used on everyone as soon as the battle started, Temari was on the ground still conscious, but with senbons in piercing her arms, legs and back, her brain catching up to the reality, she yelled in pain "don't move, if you do it before the medics come, you'll end with permanent damage" I snapped my fingers once again, putting Temari in a Genjutsu once again to avoid her feeling the pain and immobilizing her until the medic treat her wounds.

"The winner is Kenji Yūhi" Hayate said, I jumped back to the second floor but instead of going with my Team, I ran towards my aunt, smiling at her, she smiled back.

"So, what do you think of my new Genjutsu?" I asked her as soon as I was near enough to not yell.

"Is interesting, to say the least, instead of producing pain and trauma, you block the brain receptors that are in charge of that, you bend the perception of the victim to think it is unharmed, and you made it powerful enough to affect everyone in a large area, affecting even a Genjutsu Master to not say the Third Hokage, you surpassed me in such a little time" Aunt Kurenai said smiling "I'm really proud of you, a bit sad that I don't have anything else to teach my favorite nephew" She added.

"I'm your only nephew" I replied, faking offense, "Unless... don't tell me you are going to make it official, Did he finally give you the ring?" I raised my voice a little, just enough for her to fluster, and get a nervous cough from Asuma.

"Wha... What? N.. Not at all, what are you even talking about?" Aunt Kurenai was red as a tomato, Kakashi-Sensei chuckled at the distance, and the rest of the Konoha ninjas faking that they didn't know who I was talking about.

"Do you really think my Mom and I wouldn't notice your escapes in the middle of the night and those 'strategic' meetings in the middle of the day on our own house" I said bluntly "Mom is really insightful, and I am a prodigy ninja, trained by you and Guy-Sensei, yet it doesn't take a genius to notice what was happening" I winked at her and returned with my Team, when the next fight was announced, not giving Aunt Kurenai to recover.
