Return to the Blue Sea

Thirteen's eyes opened and he stared at the sky above him. It was bright without any clouds. He slowly sat up and pressed his palm against his right eye, propping himself up with his other arm.

Zoro was sitting next to him, sharpening his sword as he said "Rise and shine, princess." Thirteen looked at him and Zoro smirked "You slept for an entire day, can you believe it?" Thirteen got up and looked around to see the crew, minus Robin, packing up and getting ready to go.

He stretched his arms over his head and yawned.

Nami looked over and shouted "You're awake! Good! Get over here and help carry these boxes!" she turned to Zoro and added "You too!" Zoro sighed and walked over, carrying boxes to the Merry.

Thirteen picked up the boxes and started helping, bringing them to the storage area.

Usopp ran over with a ton more boxes, waving the crew over to come get them. Sanji, Zoro, and Thirteen went to grab them, bringing them to the storage room as well. Thirteen waved his hand to White, who brought Thirteen's backpack back to his room from the deck.

Eventually, everything was in the storage room and the crew was waiting for Robin.

Thirteen was sitting on a rock by the Merry when he saw Robin walking over with a bunch of Sky People, who were holding a giant pillar covered in paper.

Usopp shouted "IT'S A CANNON! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" as he ran around in circles on the deck.

Thirteen sat still and watched as Robin walked over, the crew preparing to run. Luffy sat on the railings and chuckled as Nami slapped Usopp around, shouting "I'm not falling for your bullshit again, Usopp!"

Robin smiled and said "Good thing you didn't run away. The Skypieans have a gift for us." The Sky People put down the pillar and revealed a solid gold pillar from the Golden Bell Structure.

Nami dropped Usopp and stared at the pillar, drooling.

Thirteen walked up to the pillar and touched it, wasn't this the pillar he grabbed to smash Enel with?

What a coincidence!

Zoro walked over and looked at the pillar before slashing with his swords. He put his swords back and as they clicked into place, the pillar collapsed into little pieces. Thirteen grabbed a cube of solid gold and looked at it as Sanji started moving the pieces to the ship under Nami's orders.

When all the pieces were on the ship, Conis came and guided them to the exit.

Gan Fall thanked them and the crew left.

Thirteen was sitting on the deck looking at the cube of solid gold in his hands. He stood up and walked to the storage room.

When he got down there he was greeted with tons of Gold cubes. He checked to see if anyone was looking before taking a box full of them. He took the box to his room and set it down.

He sat on the box and pulled his backpack up to him, he looked outside to see the scenery changing extremely fast before looking back to his backpack. Thirteen took out the devil fruit and opened the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia.

He finally found the fruit after a bit of searching.

It was the Merge Merge fruit.

The description was that the user would be able to merge anything with another thing. He was puzzled, did it work on humans? Could he mix a bear with a person and make a bear human? He continued reading and it said 'Warning! Merging living matter will result in death of said living matter.'

Thirteen understood now. It seemed that this fruit was quite weak!

Of course, what he didn't know was that the description for the Merge-Merge fruit was literally only the surface and nothing deeper than this. The Warning was only a theory not actual fact.

What the Merge Merge fruit could and could not do was solely based on the user. In fact the Merge-Merge fruit could be an extremely powerful fruit if put in the right hands… but that's a story for another time.

Alas, Thirteen would never find out.

He threw the Merge-Merge fruit back into the backpack and took out the daggers he found. They were very ancient looking daggers with Shandian Writing on them, they also had loops at the ends of them.

He grabbed the blade and immediately felt weakness flooding his entire body.

He let go of the blade and wrapped the daggers in cloth before placing them back in his bag, perhaps they would come in handy at some other point in time. Other than those new spoils he put the Child fruit into his backpack, separating it from the Merge fruit with the box it came in.

He put his book back and looked in his bag. He could really use a bigger one, but this one was Nami's and he didn't want to dispose of it. He had already stitched the bunny mask to the outside of the bag anyway and he didn't want to do it again.

Thirteen put his backpack on the box in his room before looking at the Bunny suit.

A while later~

The Merry splashed back into the sea and the crew felt relief sweeping over their bodies as they were back to the blue sea. Thirteen walked out of the cabin with his bunny suit on and the gold cube still in his hand.

He was interested in this gold block.

He was trying to do something but it never worked for him unfortunately.

So he sat on the deck and plate with the Gold block in his bunny suit, as Nami stomped over and said "What are you doing with that." Thirteen looked up and blinked at her, she put up a tough appearance but Thirteen's blank stare beat her and she sighed, sulking away.

She cheered herself up by thinking about how much money she would have when they sold all the gold, unaware that an entire box was already missing.

Thirteen had a plan for the gold but he unfortunately couldn't do it yet…

Both physically and mentally, something was blocking him from both and that something was his other self. What Thirteen didn't know was that he and his other self were constantly feeding off each other, whoever came out on top would still have the other as a part of them, maybe a miniscule part, but still a part nonetheless.

The crew slowly went back to normalcy as Zoro asked Thirteen to train, bringing Sanji, Luffy, White, and Chopper with him. Usopp went back to training, while Robin secretly trained by herself, and Nami bathed in the sun, sighing in contentment.

Everything was back to normal for the crew as they sailed closer and closer to the next adventure.
