Is This Punishment?

Caroline was still crying in the hospital room.

Her body was still lying on the bed, and her legs were still in a cast.

"Mother, where is Carlos? Isn't he here yet?" asked Caroline.

"Sorry, honey. He can't come. He's out of town," Ella replied.

"Ah! That's just an excuse!" snorted Caroline.

"Carol, you should be able to understand Carlos' position, he's a great artist, it's only natural that he often gets invited out of town!" said Ella reassuring her daughter.

Caroline just snorted in annoyance at her mother's words. Because Ella doesn't know the problem between her daughter and Carlos.

Caroline hadn't told her about this, she didn't want others to know that her relationship with Carlos had ended, including her mother.

Because after all, she was not willing to part with Carlos. Until whenever her love for Carlos will not change.

Of course, she also doesn't want people to laugh at her because she is considered to get karma for her actions.

She was hated enough for having snatched Carlos from Alice, she didn't want to be laughed at because she had been dumped by Carlos.

'Carlos is ruthless. Even when I'm like this, he not come,' Caroline thought.

'Carol, you have to be patient! You can't be fragile. Rest assured that you can get Carlos back in your arms!' She tried her best to convince herself that she could get through this. And got Carlos back in her arms.

The woman could only endure the sadness, along with the pain she felt in her body.

Her legs are still limping, for a while she had to walk with the help of a cane and other people. And to make her legs back to normal also took several months. Worse still... there was no Carlos by her side.

Mrs. Ella did help her a lot, as a good mother, she didn't leave Caroline at all.

The middle-aged woman continued to look after her daughter.

But all that was not enough for Caroline, because what she hoped for was Carlos' arrival.

Now Carlos' days were really quiet without Caroline.

Carlos could come to Alice's house whenever he wanted.

"Well, it's a bit evil. But there's a bright side. I can come over to Alice's house whenever I want," Carlos muttered, and he smoothed his hair in front of the mirror.

Do not forget he sprayed perfume all over his body.

He always wanted to look perfect in front of Alice. It's like a young man in love.

"Today I look more handsome than usual, I'm sure Alice will be impressed," Carlos spoke with a confident smile.

Then he rushed to Bella's house to meet Alice.

A few moments later Carlos had arrived in front of Bella's house.

Carlos's face, which initially looked cheerful, suddenly became gloomy when he saw Felix's car which was parked in front of the house.

"Oh, damn it!" Carlos shouted as he kicked the steering wheel of his car.

Carlos is reluctant to meet Felix, but he is not willing if Alice is alone with Felix longer.

"I can't stay silent! Anyway, I have to prevent Felix from getting close to Alice!" Carlos said.

Without hesitation, the man immediately got out of the car. He entered the house without permission. Luckily the door was open.

And in that room, Felix and Alice were seen chatting together.

What made Carlos even more annoyed, was when Felix was holding Alice's hand.

"Ahm..." Carlos cleared his throat loudly enough to make Alice and Felix flinch.

"Hey! Why did you come all of a sudden?" said Felix, "just annoying!" fierce.

"It's up to me! This is my brother-in-law's house!" Carlos replied.

"Tch! Still confessing too, huh?" Felix quipped Carlos while chuckling in surprise. "Here, let me explain, that this house is not your brother-in-law's house! But, your ex-sister-in-law!" Felix said.

"Shit!" Carlos cursed at Felix, and the man had already raised his hand. He was about to slap Felix, but Alice immediately stopped him.

"Stop!" Alice shouted at Carlos. "Don't play violence here!" shrieked Alice.

Carlos immediately lowered his hand again.

And Alice was rambling on Carlos again.

"Hey, Carlos! Who told you to come into this house?" Alice asked.

"Nothing! But can't I enter this house? Meanwhile, the snot-only kid can come in?" Carlos said, glancing at Felix sarcastically.

"Shut your mouth, Carlos! I'm not a 'Snotty Boy!'" Felix screamed.

"Tch!" scorned Carlos.

"Enough! Don't corner Felix! You were wrong, Carlos!" Alice insisted.

"Alice, why defend Felix?" Carlos protested.

"I'm not defending Felix, I'm just telling the truth! You're the one who entered this house without permission! Can that be called 'the right thing to do?'" Alice asked, and Carlos couldn't answer. He realized that his actions were wrong, and this made Felix hold back a laugh.

"Carlos, you better go home! I've told you many times that I don't want with you anymore! Why are you still chasing me?" said Alice.

But Carlos didn't want to stay silent, he tried to make Alice's heart melt and want to be with him again.

"Alice, I'm still chasing you because I want to prove how much I love you!" Carlos insisted.

"Ah! Bullshit!" Alice screamed, and she grabbed Felix's hand and led him out of the house.

"Bella! I'm going with Felix, huh!" shouted Alice speaking to her sister.

"Yes, Alice!" said Bella from the kitchen. The woman happened to be cooking.

Alice went with Felix, while Carlos was still silent at Bella's house.

The man couldn't stop Alice.

Again he could only be patient.

'"I don't care if Alice keeps walking away from me, and continues to think I'm worthless. I deserve it. It's a punishment for me, but I'm still going after her until I get it!" Carlos muttered.

Then Bella came out of the kitchen to close the front door.

"Hey, Carlos! You're still here?"

"Yes, Bella,"

"Surely you got dumped by Alice again, huh?"

"Yes."

"Um ... Carlos, you should stop chasing Alice. I think it's much better. Because Alice doesn't love you anymore. I just feel sorry for you who keep getting dumped," concluded Bella, who tried to advise Carlos.

"Ugh... it's not that easy, Bella. I love Alice so much, and I don't want to lose her!" Carlos replied.

"Yeah but, you can't force feelings, Carlos!" said Bella.

"I'm sure there's still love in Alice's heart!" Carlos insisted.

"Ah ... well ... whatever, I'm just reminding you," said Bella. And the woman went back into the kitchen, she didn't close the door because Carlos was still sitting in the living room.
