quite the surpise

"What do you want me to say? When you have lived as long as I have, you tend to develop this irrational fear of death. You can't blame me. But what I'm surprised and frankly shocked about, is how you stopped me. nor do I have some of your abilities. And before you asked me how I know, I just do." He paused ad smiled before raising his arms into the air.

I arched a brow questioningly.

"What? Do you expect me to fight a monster like you? I believe you should be the one locked up in here, not me. you're far too dangerous. Sadly, I doubt there is any way you could be subdued without an army."

His words made my arched brow twitch slightly.

The clone smiled one more time before raising his head.

"I give up!" he shouted.

Everyone was stunned at his words, even the statue. Its jaw fell off its hinge as its eyes widened in shock.

The statue raised its pointy stone finger at the doppelganger and exploded in rage.

"WHAT KIND OF PIECE OF SHIT ARE YOU?" It barked angrily.

The clone smiled and waved him off.

"There I no way I would win. And I'm not a masochist by any means. So, excuse me for avoiding a losing battle. I am sure you can get over it. Now, tell Violet to give this kid the fucking key, I would hate to see this school burn due to angering him." He said before turning towards me.

"No hard feelings, but I stand by my previous words. You should be locked up in the deepest hell of this world. Never to see the light of day. You are a danger to everyone alive. I don't quite get how you came to be; you are a freak of nature. You have abilities you should not have, power you should not be able to wield." He said seriously.

I couldn't help but laugh loudly. I even began to clap as I leaned forward and supported myself with my hands on my knees.

I raised my head and gazed at the shocked expression on his face.

"You have no idea how right you are boy."

BOOM!

A pillar of black fire shot to the roof and began to spiral before being sucked back into my body as I raised my left arm. Black armour began to appear on my body. a long golden-white cape flew behind me like a flag.

I strode forward slowly, every step cracking the ground beneath.

"I have power that transcends the realm of what your tiny mind could ever possibly comprehend. I wield the power over life and death. Your fate, and the fate of every living creature will be dancing upon the palm of my hand soon enough."

Before I knew it, Achlys and Drak had taken control of my body.

My voice became a mixture of theirs, deep and baritone as it shook the very walls of the colosseum.

"But you have a point. Maybe we are better off being locked up, or better yet, killed. But we will rise and rise until this world is submerged under the purifying blaze of our fire. Now, fuck off back to your cage."

I saw myself wave my hand before the doppelganger was blown to bits instantly. Pieces of flesh and bone lay everywhere. I was shocked. This clone was supposed to be the embodiment of myself without Drak and Achyls. And I was literally deleted instantly.

But it wasn't over yet, I saw myself turn towards the shocked audience and waved my hand. instantly, everyone was knocked unconscious. I knew they had just been obliviated.

'Why? What's with the outburst?' I asked the towering dragons in my mind space.

{Humph, that little ant was talking too much shit. to be locked up again. Fuck him. And fuck you Drak, no way would I be better off dead.} Achlys barked angrily.

[Shut it Achlys. I spoke those words because some people would agree with them. That doesn't mean they are necessarily correct. I guess I still felt guilty for all we did. As for why I joined in, well it was to keep Achlys from doing anything over the top and to show that punk his place. We are the Gods of good and evil. You, Tom, are the vessel that holds both of us.

You transcend the limit of common sense. Right now, as you have just seen, you are nothing. You might be stronger than every wizard alive or close to, but you are less than an ant compared to the people coming after us--]

{wow, well done there buddy.} Achlys mocked.

I instantly caught on to the clue.

"Who? Who's coming after you? I heard you talking about it before. You kept it from me then, I won't let you succeed this time. spill the beans." I said seriously.

There was a long silence after my words. Even Achlys didn't talk. Just when I thought I would be hung out to dry again Drak's deep voice rang in my ears.

"They are powerful. Just as powerful as us. We were the protectors of Europe. Even though we could influence the entire world, we never did so. For one simple reason. There were other beasts, monsters and beings that occupied other continents.

Asia had Raijin and Fuji. Even though not every Asian country follows their myths, they are real. They protect all of Asia. They are not as strong as us alone, but together, they are immensely powerful. They cause tsunamis, hurricanes and monsoons everywhere they go. They are destruction incarnate.

South America has Huitzilopochtli. As the God of war, the sun, and sacrifice, he is a god to be reckoned with. He has never lost a battle against any of us or the other deities. He is immensely powerful. But his ego and arrogance make him easy to predict. So even though he has never lost on paper, he has been pushed back several times.

Africa has Isis, she is associated with virtually every aspect of human life and, in time, has been elevated to the position of the supreme deity, "Mother of the Gods", who cared for her fellow deities as she did for human beings.

She is the kindest of us all. hates fighting and adores civil disputes. She has a habit of gambling though.

North America has 'the great spirit'. He is the youngest of the gods. He is known as the concept of a life force, a Supreme Being or God. He loves battle but has a gentle and reasonable personality. Has a deep hatred for Europeans for what they did to his people and has been in seclusion ever since they took over.

Oceania has this arrogant piece of shit called Poseidon, god of the sea. Nothing to say about him. I have never talked to him for more than 10 seconds before trying to rip his head off.

An: my reasoning for adding this in is because it's only reasonable that if beings like Drak and Achlys are a thing, then similar identities must be around all over the world. I have not decided on their forms, but none of them are human that's for sure. This might seem like it's over the top, but in the grand scheme of things, they don't really play a role. we'll most of them that is heheh. this will be explained in more detail in the next chapters
