Should Have Believed Her

(From Demetrius's Perspective)

Blue had been tense for a few days. I told her to take a break and she listened to me, for the very first time. She also probably realized that it was very necessary for her to put off all sorts of work and just focus on herself.

She took a break, but her mind did not. She worried all day. I found her more than five times just staring at the wall and biting her lips. She was anxious all the time and did not get out of the bedroom much. There were times when she would pick Dion up and hold him in a way that would make anyone think she was worried someone would take him from her.

Today, as usual, I took Dion with me in the morning to my study and came back around lunchtime. I found my wife sleeping on the bed, holding her pregnancy pillow. Even in her sleep, she did not look to be at peace anymore. Her brows were furrowed and her lips trembled occasionally.
