Chapter 4
Sierra's POV
Looking over at my boss I wonder what the hell he has gotten me into. Pulling up in front of his house is a high-end sports sedan all black everything. When the car is turned off you can't even see where the headlights were. Nothing good ever gets out of an all black vehicle. The door opens and out walks a man that looks like he has murder on his mind. His jet black hair makes his fair skin seem almost translucent.
I need to get the hell out of here asap. I do not need this in my life. I am supposed to be under the radar. Being with him is like having a neon sign around my neck. Not to mention his friend scares me. I didn't notice Jin walk up to me until his hands are on my shoulders. Turning me around to face his scary friend. "Hey Suga, this Sierra. She works in the I.T. department at my company. She is the one that found the bugs. Sierra this is my brother Suga."
With a much less deadly look on his face than I thought he was "Nice to meet you, Sierra." He reaches his hand out to shake mine. He turns to Jin and asks, "Why am I awake? Techie stuff is Joon's thing." I can tell he is annoyed so I move around Jin to load my stuff back into my bag. I am out of here as soon as I can get past them. This is not my fight and I plan to get far away from them.
If looks could kill Jin is hanging on by a thread. "You know as well as I do Joon is out of town for business." Suga pinched the bridge of his nose and looked angrier. Jin continued completely unbothered by his brother.
"Someone has managed to put spyware on my work computer and bug my house." I pull out my phone to see about a ride share so I can leave. Looking up I noticed that Suga looked like he was ready to wrap his hands around his neck. "I again, I don't do tech stuff. Why am I here?"
Smiling in a way that made his brother's eye twitch he said, "Sierra took care of Joon's part. But the reason you are here is what she found on my work computer." He handed him the packet of papers that I gave him this morning. "Some of this is from my computer here too." I didn't think it was possible but Suga managed to look even madder. I was about to pick my ride when I heard him speaking to me. "Sierra, can you figure out where these bugs originated and who planted the spyware on his computer?"
"Yes, I can. It's not safe to do here though. The person might be close enough to monitor the device." I gave him the most honest answer I could. These bugs are short-ranged and they need to be within 100 feet to check the information over the wifi.
"Cool, you and Jin can come to my house. I have a place that should be safe for you to check it out. I need to know who is behind it as soon as possible." He was already on his way to his car.
"What are you going to tell Kels?" Jin asked Suga. Suga smiled and it made him a much more handsome man. I mean he is not ugly by any stretch of the imagination. But that smile does amazing things to his face. "Absolutely nothing," he said before getting into his car and driving off. Whoever Kels is, is a very lucky person.
Jin's POV
I noticed that Sierra had her bag packed and she was putting her shoes on. "That was a little anticlimactic. I thought he was coming with a few people to come to remove the bugs from your place." Popping up she smiled and looked ready to go. What Sierra doesn't know is that in that packet of information I gave Suga. I had placed a note telling him what I needed to be done.
"Someone is coming to take care of that." Looking down at her as she walked towards the end of my driveway. "Where are you going?" I think I caught her off guard with my question. She looked so confused like I should have known. "I'm going home." I shook my head and directed her to my garage. "You can go home tomorrow ma'am. We need you to backtrace the bugs.
"What do you mean tomorrow?! I have plans for my weekend." She looks adorable when she is irritated. With her arms crossed over her chest. Placing them front and center giving me the best view. But I'm not going to tell her that now. I am also not going to tell her I know she doesn't have plans. What she does have is a case of bad nerves.
So I walk up to her and place my hands on her shoulders, I give them a light squeeze. I am not used to women having to work this hard to get women in a car with me. "Reschedule them. You're mine until I figure out what's going on." Then I reach down and take her bag placing it into the trunk of my car.
"I'm not staying here and neither are you. It's not safe. I will take you to your place tomorrow. But not yet, someone could be watching us and I need to make sure you are safe. She acquiesces and got into the car without a fight. Once we closed the car doors thought it was a different story.
"What have you gotten me into?" Glaring at me as I began to drive to Yoongi's place." Glancing at her quickly with a little smirk. "I am serious Jin. What the hell are you into that got people putting this much effort into you?"
With her arms crossed staring daggers at me from the passenger seat. She is five foot nothing staring at me like she can take me. It is the cutest things I've seen in a while. "We can talk about it later but not in the car and not right now." She nodded in agreement but I ca tell she didn't like it. "Since you only own cars that are hackable from a distance I can see your concern." Rolling her eyes she stopped looking at me and glared out the window. I could hear her mumbling about stupid men and their rolling computers.
"For the record, if they tampered with this car they can make it stop moving. Most GPS trackers are just little magnets that are placed under the car and can be removed easily." It was quiet for a few minutes and then she calmly said, "I think you have a tail, three cars back. It's a Mercedes I think. Definitely dark blue. Checking in my rearview I can see the car she is talking about. I am driving my least used and least favorite car.
"The way they are following you lets me know they do not have a tracker on this car. If they did they wouldn't need to follow you." What kind of life does she live that being followed doesn't bother her. She hasn't even moved from her position looking out of the window. Looks like I am going to need a new car.
Just to confirm that they are actually following me I make a few random turns. She's right they are following me and they are desperate. "Siri Message V: Meet me at the corner store with granny in thirty minutes please." I get confirmation from Siri that the message was sent and received.
I look over at Sierra I notice she looks madder than before. "What?" She turns to completely face me. "You got me out here running from shadows and you have a hacker's dream in your pocket!!!! Just pull over and let them kill us now." Her voice started softly but steadily escalated. It was a little unnerving, mom does the same thing.
Before I could stop her she snatched my phone from my hand and turned it off. "I know people believe the iPhone is hard to hack but it's not, it's childs play. Most celebrity leaks are from hacked iPhones. Get an android you can add your own security to it."
"Are you serious? Your upset about my phone? What is so great about an android that makes it unhackable?" I can't wait to hear this. "I never said unhackable, but it is harder because you can use different kinds of security. Apple is fond of its own everything and that is what makes it so easy to hack. Besides if you look behind you. Since I shut off your phone you have been able to lose the tail with your crazy ass driving."
She dropped my phone in the cupholder behind my gear shift. The look of disgust on her face and the fact that I was no longer being followed said a lot. I am going to miss this phone. It is awesome it does so much and it has the best cases. "Now get a new phone, preferably an android. I recommend a galaxy." I'm really going to miss this phone.
