“I honestly don’t know,” Kenta replied. “But I think it’s due to the hibernating bond between us.”
“I didn’t dream, though,” Jensen reminded Kenta. “I was also mated to you. Or rather, Jon was.”
“But Milo has magic now. That serves as a connection. Magic attracts magic.”
Jensen huffed. “Will it be weird if I tell you that I’m more than a little jealous of your nightmares now? Yours and Milo’s, I mean.”
Kenta snorted. “Yes, but I understand why you’re feeling like that. This isn’t a competition, though. Just because I have this extra link with Milo, it doesn’t mean that what we have between us isn’t special. Besides, there are fifteen years of history between you and Milo in this lifetime, and you don’t see me pouting in envy, do you?”
Jensen gaped. Then he burst out laughing.
“I never thought of it like that, but you’re absolutely right.”
