Aunt's home

He thought training for all those years made him what he was today. Aragon thought of his grandma's teachings and her words resonated in his ears. He felt a little ache in his chest, thinking about when she would come.

The day has come to an end and all the young fellows went back to their homes. It was like a playground for them, having spent in the ground all day and fighting each other, makes them tired.

Aragon was watching all of them leaving. He stayed behind staring at the distant hill, lost in thought.

He didn't want to go home. Because if he was to go there, his grandma wouldn't be there to welcome him. His expression changed from previous indifferent emotion to a gloomy one.

At the time, they were two girls who stayed behind. One of them was sitting in the cabin and the other was walking toward Aragon.

Aragon also saw both of them.

Asdis approached him and directly said to him, "Follow me."

Aragon narrowed his eyes and didn't speak but she added.

"Just follow me and we shall show you the house you need to go to."

Aragon then recalled his grandma's words. That he was to stay at his aunt's place until she returned.

He didn't think about it and he didn't want to stay anywhere. Eventually, he thought would go to his home and stay there.

But it seems she has already made preparations for him to stay at his aunt's place.

"Are you my aunt?" He asked her.

Surprised by his question, she replied, "No!"

"Asdis," Synnove called her. She has sent Asdis to bring him and she was taking too long, that's what she felt.

"Come on. She is your cousin, Synnove. She and I will bring you to your aunt's home." She said.

Aragon tilted his head to look at Synnove. She sat across the wooden bench and folded her arms. She had her eyes closed.

Asdis waved her hand in front of Aragon, "Come on kid, that was for both of us. Get going."

Aragon decided to go with them for now and see what his aunt was like.

Synnove stood up and then Asdis gestured to him to follow her, which he did silently.

She was a bit annoyed by seeing Aragon. She knew about Aragon already and knew that he was the son of her father's brother. Only a few of the members knew about Aragon. Aragon's birth was kept secret on Freja's wish.

Synnove was told by her father Rhaet and to show him their aunt's house.

After a while, they reached a house that was not much bigger and seemed smaller than Aragon's home. The wooden house had a bit of yard in front and a fence around it.

They all entered the yard front and Synnove called out.

"Aunt Katheryn."

No one came out. She waited a minute and called again.

"Aunt Katheryn,"

This time a man in his forties came out. He wore a ragged sleeveless shirt and a short skirt. His hair was messy and his long beard, both were ash blonde. He was staggering and struggled to walk up to the door with a bottle of ale in his hand.

"Gaerr, is aunt not home?" Synnove asked him. Synnove of course knew who this man was after all her aunt had a peculiar way of living life in this tribe.
