Taking a Deep Breath

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" The cries of the beasts reverberated throughout the forest.

When Chris heard the cry, he opened his eyes and looked outside. Then he stood up and walked out of the forest.

Soon, he found a small monster.

The monster was very small, not even as tall as Chris's knee.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" When Monster saw Chris, he immediately ran towards him excitedly. As he ran, he kept shouting.

"Zhi! Zhi! Zhi! Zhi!" After reaching Chris, Monster immediately extended both his claws to hug Chris' legs and shook them.

"Zhi Zhi Zhi!" Chris lowered his head to look at Monster who was hugging him. Then, he gently rubbed Monster's head.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" Seeing Chris rub his head, Monster shouted happily.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. You are too weak. You are not enough for me to kill. Additionally, you need my protection," Chris said with a smile.

"Zhi! Zhi! Zhi! Zhi!" Hearing Chris' words, Monster immediately nodded his head. Then, he released his grip on Chris' body, putting on an obedient expression.

"Let's go, lead the way!" Chris said as he looked at Monster.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" After saying that, the monster turned around and walked out of the forest.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou! Chris followed behind Monster and quickly left the forest.

After leaving the forest, Monster took a deep breath and turned to speak to Chris.

"Chirp chirp chirp!" The monster said and scratched Chris' arm.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" After Monster finished scratching, he shouted at Chris.

"What is it?" Chris asked.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" Monster shouted at Chris again.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" Monster kept shouting at Chris, seemingly asking for praise.

"Oh?" Chris looked at Monster and asked, "Are you asking for credit?"

"Zhizhi, Zhizhi!" Monster nodded.

"He he, how cute!" Chris looked at Monster and laughed.

"Zhi Zhi Zhi!" Hearing Chris' praise, Monster immediately chirped out happily.

"Let's go!" Chris said as he walked forward.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" Seeing Chris leave, Monster quickly followed.

They drove forward and before long, they arrived at a valley. There was a river in the middle of this valley and in the middle of the river was a huge lake. The water of the lake was clear and transparent and there were fish swimming inside. There were also many strange flowers and herbs growing beside the lake. This was simply a paradise.

Chris stood where he was and quietly looked at the scenery around him. His eyes were filled with appreciation.

Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! Suddenly, a loud voice sounded in Chris's ears. This voice sounded like it was shouting something.

"Yeah?" Chris turned in confusion at the sound, then looked in the direction of the voice.

Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! The sound continued to come from the front. Chris saw a huge stone wall on the cliff in front. There were many caves on the stone wall. Black smoke was constantly emitting from them and there were also sparks.

"Could it be a mage fighting?" Chris guessed, walking toward the sound.

Gulp gulp gulp!

Chris had just walked into the cliff when he saw what was before him.

At the edge of the cliff, there was a lot of black smoke rising and rolling on the cliff.

Moreover, the black smoke kept dissipating, forming thick black clouds that blocked the sky, making the sky dark. The entire forest fell into darkness and the surrounding trees were also covered in black smoke, looking very terrifying.

Rumble! Suddenly, a sound came from the center of the valley. Then, he saw black clouds roll and form a vortex. Then, a strong hurricane came from the vortex.

"Roar!" Immediately, a tiger's roar sounded from within. This tiger's roar seemed to have come from the tiger's mouth, shocking people's souls and making them shiver.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" Monster shouted at Chris before walking into the distance. At the same time, he did not forget to turn around and shout at Chris, "Zhizhi!"

"Yes!" Chris nodded.

Seeing Chris agree to it, Monster was instantly overjoyed. Then, he happily ran deeper into the valley.

Seeing Monster leave, Chris shook his head before following behind him.

Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! The monster was extremely fast. In the blink of an eye, it had arrived at the bottom of the valley. The valley was very deep. Seeing the situation before him, Chris frowned. He did not know what to do.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" Suddenly, Monster turned around and shouted at Chris.

"Zhizhi! Zhizhi!" The monster continued shouting at Chris. Then, it pointed forward, indicating that there were more ferocious monsters ahead.

Chris and the monster walked on the rocks above the cliff very slowly. After walking for about half an hour, they finally reached the top of the cliff. When they reached the top of the cliff, Chris looked up at the top of the cliff with a shocked expression. He did not expect the top of the cliff to look like this.
