Unbearable heat

Softly gasping for air her chest raises up and down rapidly, a soft cough leaving her mouth as she wipes her forehead. "Inko~" she wines "Slow down p-please.."

Coming to a halt she exhales softly turning around towards her friend as she exclaims "We have like ten more minutes left to go idiot! And it was your idea to go on this damn run!" "I know I know.. but still Can't we stop or something?" She whines, "You had originally asked for a break five times, now six, congrats." She says plainly turning around and starting a slow walking pace. "Listen, We can walk for the first half but after that we're running got it?" She sternly says, staring at Chiyo who had took a short jog to catch up with her.

"Yeah yeah I get the drill, walk first then run!" She happily says momentarily closing her eyes to let the happiness of her victory to sink in.

"Hmmm.. Y know, it's summer break and we haven't had done anything fun, we're still lounging around our dormitory, going on with our daily lives..." She says softly opening her eyes to stare at her light-skinned palms.

"And since I know a porno art-" quickly getting shut off with a quick hit across the head she softly chuckles before 'correcting' herself "And since you're an artist, you make around 30k per year I was thinking.."

Quickly cutting her off Inko let's out a monotone and harsh "No."

"Wha- at least Let me finish! I was saying we could go on a summer vacation! Maybe somewhere we're familiar with, like Jamaica!" She happily says hoping to win her friends heart acting a little more cuter then usual.

Glancing away Inko takes a moment to think about it and weigh her possible pros.

For one, Chiyo in a swimsuit and a beach vacation did seem appealing to her especially with all the stress of her commissions and work going on.

But then she'll have to plan for almost everything, flights,packing up, Not to mention the possibility of their flights getting delayed...

But that was all thrown out the window the moment the idea of seeing pretty woman in bathing suits came in to play (especially her friend.)

"Fine.. But you're finding a hotel it better be nice and close to the beach though!" She says making sure to add emphasis on the nice part.

Letting out a small yes Chiyo says "I promise you won't regret this hehe!" As she glances at her friends watch she says "Ah, well we better get to runnin! five minutes already passed!"

"Wha- Already!?" Inko says shocked quickly looking at her watch to see that 5 minutes had passed. "You're right.. A-ah! wait up!" She exclaims before starting a quick jog to catch up with her friend

------ One hour later

"I think we're lost..." Inko says looking at the same fountain they passed 16 times.

"You fucking *think* were lost?!" Chiyo exclaims angrily, heavily panting as she stares at the sky that showed no sign of darkening "Ahhh we're going to die of a heat stroke I know it..." She hopelessly says falling down to her knees to lean against the fountain.

Sighing inko says "Hey, don't be grimace that's my job anyways.." Looking at the trail they came from she says

"Say, on our way back did we ever pass by a statue?" chiyo takes a moment before answering thinking about it

"Hm, Nope not a single one"

"As I thought.. While talking earlier we probably forget to take a turn and continued walking straight.. then we took like.. thirteen? maybe Fifteen unneeded turns and now we're here.."

"You've been counting the amount of turns we take and still decided not to say a single word!?" Chiyo exclaims as she leaned on her hands.

"Yeah? Well That's not important, we should figure out where we even are." Taking a moment to look around for a sign to give a clue where they are she glances at her watch. "Oh.. and we should probably hurry up, the suns not going down for another four or five hours and it'll probably get hotter until night fall.."

Whining, chiyo sits up slowly "My skins feel like it's going to fall off.. can't we at least go into some shade or something!?"

inko looks at her friend before saying "Look, I'm tired as well, we took an hour long run in the middle of summer, got lost, and now we're basically melting in the sun."

For some reason they shared a awkward silence before chiyo mumbled something under her breath to low to be heard.

"Yeah.. let's, let's go"
