510. Clowns Pirates' Tobiroppo

"Making it more interesting, you say? So this dangerous sea is boring for you?"

"Haha, you would understand how boring it is once no one can fight you well, Black Maria. I always like difficult fights and if the opponents are too weak, then I would give myself some handicaps like only using my left hand, doesn't use devil fruit ability or haki, etc. All just to make my fights harder."

"Are you also doing that when fighting Red Hair & Whitebeard?"

"Of course. They are the best opponents I could fight now along with the Admirals."

"Sigh, so does this plan have any relation to that?"

"Yeah. Basically, this plan is to create powerful opponents for me to fight."

"Create? How?"

"Hehe, to summarize it, you guys will help some rookies grow by fighting them. You guys surely know that the best & fastest way to grow stronger is through battles. That's why I want you to go after potential pirates and fight them using whatever method you like. I prefer you go after young rookies because they still have a lot of hidden potential."

"So basically you want us to take the roles of villains in their stories?"

"You don't want to be villains?"

"Nah, I love to be a villain. That is what being a pirate means anyway."

"Yeah, and I would like to fight those infamous rookies."

"Wait! Does this include your son's crew?"

"Oh, the Straw Hat Pirates."

"Yeah, of course, this includes them. You can just fight them like you fight everyone else or even more ruthless, I don't mind at all. After all, if he wants to achieve his goal, then he should be able to surpass all of you combined."

"His goal needs him to defeat all of us together? What kind of goal is that?"

"Shouldn't be a Pirate King because he isn't the Captain."

"His goal is to defeat me."

""?!?!""

The 6 of them are surprised, but not with Alan & his crewmates who obviously know it already.

"Haha, that sounds even more difficult than being the Pirate King. But I really understand him. Wanting to surpass the best in the world is something that everyone desires, especially if that person is your father. But not everyone has the talent and mental to go after that goal."

"Yeah, like a lot of people want to find Laugh Tale. But only some percent are truly doing everything to find it and never give up."

"So, do you agree to join this plan? Of course, you will get enough compensation. If you agree, then let's talk about details."

Everyone agrees because this really sounds fun even though they know the risk isn't light. The risk can even be death if they aren't careful, but that's what they face every day as pirates, so it doesn't bother them at all.

They talk about the details like their territories for this plan, who they'll target, what equipment they need, etc for 2 hours. Then after the meeting, the 6 pirates request a battle with Legend Pirates, or to be precise, the 4 Clown Pirates' apprentices.

"How is it, Alan? This sounds like a good idea."

"Sigh, you just want to watch a good battle, Grand Captain. Fine, but let's do it like this. The 6 of you will only fight Jack, Elen, & Yamato. If you can defeat them, then you can fight me tomorrow after you recover."

Alan grins while clearly looking down on them, making them pissed. But the 6 of them know it would be very difficult to fight all 4 of them at once. Besides, they understand that Alan is basically saying he is stronger than even the 3 of them combined, that's why the 6 of them can only fight him after defeating the 3.

They agree because they can't miss this chance to test their power. Also, their ranks in the Fleet would obviously rise if they could defeat the Legend Pirates' 4 main members. Not only in the Fleet, but also their reputation in the world will increase.

They move to the beach on the opposite side of the town to avoid damaging the town. 6 vs 3, a battle that doesn't look fair for the 3, but it could be the opposite. Almost everyone is excited. Yeah, almost, because Elen is not that excited as she doesn't like to fight if not necessary.

"Heh, Elen, you can just stay back, I will fight them alone."

"You also stand back, Yamato! I will be the one who fights them."

"HUH?! WHAT'D YOU SAY, JACK? YOUR WEAK ASS SICKLES WON'T BE ABLE TO CUT THEM. YOU BETTER USE THEM TO CUT WEED."

"HMPH! YOUR BASEBALL BAT IS USED TO HIT BALLS, IT'S FOR SPORT, NOT BATTLE."

"AND YOUR SICKLE IS FOR FARMING, NOT BATTLE!"

Yamato & Jack are arguing between themselves. It's a usual thing that they do almost every day as if they are a cat & a dog even though they are a mammoth & a wolf. But then their bickering stops instantly when they hear Elen's cough.

"W-well, Jack-kun, it seems we shouldn't fight alone. Then you take those 3 on the left and I take those 3 on the right."

"S-sounds good, Yamato-san."

These 2 are afraid of Elen who would always discipline them almost every time they fight since they were kids. She isn't stronger than them, but she somehow could always defeat them. Mantis has passed down her disciplining skills to Elen, after all, for her to make sure the crew won't go overboard.

"Damn, they just back down instinctively, just like us."

Buggy smiles awkwardly seeing Elen who looks very similar to Mantis now. Both of them are like their crews' moms. They might be the most important members of the crew because their care is the one that makes all of them sane in this mad world.

Anyway, the battle finally starts and it's really 2 vs 6 now. Jack fights Ulti, Page One, and Sasaki. Yamato fights Black Maria, Bege, and Who's Who. Well, Yamato is also fighting Bege's crew because his power allows him to keep his crew in his body to attack his opponents, but it isn't a problem for Yamato.

The 6 of them have started using their devil fruit abilities, but neither Jack or Yamato are transforming. They are still using their basic power and skills to fight the 6. Just from this alone, everyone can see the gaps between their power.

"Haha, this is really a good show. A mammoth is facing 3 dinosaurs, and a mythical wolf is facing an ancient cat, a giant spider, and a living castle. Though the mammoth and the wolf haven't really appeared, it's still interesting. What do you think of their power, Alan?"

"Hmm, not bad. They are worthy of their bounties, but they aren't strong enough to roam around the New World freely."

"Don't set yourself as the standard. They are already among the high ranks, but yeah, the New World still poses quite a lot of danger for them."

"This plan might be a good chance for them to improve themselves. If they get stronger, then our group will be very strong."

"That is also my aim."

Buggy & Alan are watching the battles while commenting on them. They see Sasaki rush at Jack in his Triceratops form, but Jack stops him by catching his horn with a hand. Jack uses the other hand to uppercut Page One which tries to bite him from another side.

Then he coats his forehead and butts Ulti who rushes with a headbutt at him. This is Ulti's signature move because of her devil fruit, which is a Pachycephalosaurus. Even so, she is sent flying back by Jack's headbutt that's much stronger than hers.

As for Sasaki, Jack lifts him before slamming him onto the ground. Even 1 slam is enough to make Sasaki cough up blood. Jack overwhelms all 3 of them without transforming into his mammoth form.

"Good, he is much stronger now. He can defeat the 3 of them without transforming."

"Well, he is Cricket-san's disciple, so he should at least have this much power & skills. Yamato is Palu-san's disciple, so she has similar level of power as Jack."

Just as Alam says, Yamato is also doing well in her fight. She smashes Who's Who, Black Maria, and Bege with her big metal bat. She rarely dodges because she prefers countering their attacks with her attacks. The only thing she dodges is Black Maria's web because it's too sticky to be hit.

Jack & Yamato have the upper hand, but it doesn't make them win immediately. The 6 pirates are still strong fighters and they aren't ones to give up so easily. So they keep fighting until they finally can force Jack & Yamato to transform.

"Not bad. Those guys are growing in this little battle game. They have high potential."

"Yeah, but it's over now because Jack & Yamato have transformed."

"Then let's see how long they can hold on."

Buggy thought they would hold on for a few minutes despite the injuries they had. But what happens is beyond his expectations. Jack & Yamato defeat every single one of them with just an attack each. Of course, their attacks are full-power attacks.

This result makes Buggy grin widely. "You guys were hiding your power quite well. But it's great. This will really help the grand plan go smoother."
