Chapter 119: One Strange Morning

(Morax: POV)

Releasing a yawn I got up from bed and then headed to the bathroom to relieve myself.

Feeling completely and utterly refreshed.

There's just something about sleeping in your own bed that makes rest all the more enjoyable if you ask me.

Once I finished using the bathroom I hopped in the shower before putting on some comfortable clothing and heading downstairs.

I wanted to eat something before heading out to see Shakti.

Yesterday after going to see Rose at the guild I went to the Ganesha familia home to see her.

But I couldn't since Shakti was on a rare expedition into the dungeon from what Ilta told me.

Apparently she's trying to level up.

As to why Ilta explained to me it was because of Ardee's progress.

She was steadily closing the gap in levels.

Basically Shakti doesn't want her little sister to be stronger than her.

Although she would never admit it.

I find it adorable and I'm all for it.

A level six Shakti is welcome as far as I am concerned.

She's going to return from the expedition today and when she does I will greet her with a hug and a kiss.

Like a proper lover should.

Reaching the first floor I headed for the kitchen.

Only to find Rogue sitting at the dining table, eating from a massive plate of food and drinking from a large mug filled with water.

Not that I can blame him.

He looks like a raisin right now.

I knew Kaguya would suck him dry, but damn. I didn't think she take it this far.

Also, despite looking completely exhausted Rogue has this serene smile on his face.

Like he's reached some sort of enlightenment.

"Hey Rogue, how are you doing?" I asked.

"Morax. I am great." He said. "I just finished experiencing one of life's hidden treasures." He spoke.

"Right." I said. "Well, good for you." I told him.

I then went into the kitchen and got some food for myself.

Rogue and I then sat in comfortable silence as we ate our meals.

That is until he stood up.

Revealing he was holding a bag of ice on his nether regions.

"You ok there." I asked.

"Its fine." He said. "For in this intense pain I have found great pleasure." He told me.

"Right." I mused. Taking another bite of my food.

'Welp, it looks like Rogue might me a bit of a masochist now.' I thought.

I'm sure it'll be fine.

Finishing up my food I said goodbye to Rogue and then left Owl House and headed straight towards Babel Tower.

Shortly after I arrived I saw Shakti, Ardee, and their party exit it.

The moment I did so I ran over to Shakti with a stupid grin on my face and hugged her.

"Shakti, I'm back." I said.

I then gave her a quick kiss.

Ignoring the killing intent directed at me after I did so.

"Morax. Stop this!" Shakti shouted.

Trying and failing to push me away.

"What's the matter, can't a guy greet his lover after having not seen her in a while?" I asked. Rubbing our cheeks together after I did so.

"Enough!" Shakti cried.

But not in anger.

The blush on her face showed everyone she was embarrassed to her core.

But it made her cuter in my eyes.

"Let go of me this instant!" Shakti yelled.

As she did so I let go of her and then pouted.

Running over to Ardee I wiped a fake tear from my eye.

"Ardee, your sister is being mean to me!" I whined like a child. "Does she not like me anymore?"

"I don't Morax. Maybe she doesn't." Ardee said.

Playing along with me she gave me a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.

"Stop it you two!" Shakti cried out. "Morax I do like you. But the stuff you just did should only be done in private."

"I see. So when we are alone I can do whatever I want to you. Thanks. I understand." I said. I then put a smile on my face.

"What?! No, I didn't say that!" Shakti said.

"Well I just wanted to greet you. Bye then I will see you later." I said.

Ignoring Shaktis' screams and shouts.

Ah, teasing the women I am in relationships with is always so much fun.

Since each one of them always acts so serious or stoic.

Ryuu, Rose, Shakti.

I only mess with them to help them lighten up.

It's certainly not because I take a certain amount of pleasure in embarrassing them or looking at their cute expressions when I do.

Nope, that is definitely not the case.

After leaving Babel Tower I decided to head to a nearby park and take a leisurely walk.

No one is out yet since its still so early in the morning.

Allowing me to enjoy a nice silence as I stroll.

Moving through the park I chose I enjoyed my walk with a smile on my face.

A nice breeze is blowing.

The temperature is just right.

There is a man leaning against a tree for support as he throws up in a nearby bush.

Which usually wouldn't concern me.

Except the man in question spitting up rainbows is Gaul.

Once I noticed this I walked over to him.

"Hey Gaul, rough night?" I asked him.

Since after he left to go see Luinore yesterday he didn't return home.

Finishing his latest hurl he turned to look at me.

A grim expression on his face.

"It was both rough and pleasurable." Gaul spoke as he answered my question.

"So you had a good night with Luinore?" I questioned.

"Urk!"

At my question a dark cloud appeared over Gauls' head and his ears and tail dripped.

'Ok. Something definitely happened.' I thought.

"Hey. You can talk to me if you want. What are friends for?"

The moment I said this Gaul smiled.

He then immediately turned back to the bushes and vomited once more.

I waited for him to finish before slinging one of his arms around me.

"Come on buddy, let's get you home." I said.

I then quickly got Gaul back to the Owl House.

Taking him to his room I placed him in his bed, and put a bucket at his side.

I then went to inform Leonmitchelli about his situation so we could both check up on him throughout the day.

When I got done she shook her head and sighed. "Really, what a troublesome brother I have."

Despite her words I know she really cares for him and will be checking on him constantly.

When I finished with that I got ready to head to my room.

Only for Diluc to come get me.

Since apparently Alise had come to speak to me.

Heading to the front door I was greeted by the sight of my friend.

"Good morning Alise. So, what's up?" I asked her.

"Morax let's go out for drinks tonight. I need your advise." She said.

"On what exactly?" I asked.

"My relationship with Filvis." Alise said.

Then before I could respond Alise spoke again.

"I'll be here to pick you up around 7. Bye now."

Alise then ran off.

First Rogue, then Gaul, and now Alise.

This has truly been one of the strangest mornings I've ever had.
